No one asks anyone to judge an athlete's accomplishments based on their personal life. That makes no sense at all.

But we DO CHOOSE whom to give our support to, and to give our hard earned dollars to. Some choose to give their money and support to a guy who beats women. Now that is ****ed up.

 

The answer is the same it has been since the beginning of boxing: people will shell out money to watch the best.

Compare that to giving your money to someone who repeatedly, time and time again cheats on their wife? Who are we to say what's worse? Who are we to even give a ****? Crazy **** happens behind closed doors in every neighborhood in every city.

And why would we support a fighter who chose a trainer who is known for giving his athletes PED's? And then turns down the opportunity to prove he is a superb, clean and natural athlete when his "evil" rival jumps at that opportunity?

Some of the biggest names ever were known women beaters. Sugar Ray Robinson, Muhammad Ali, Sugar Ray Leonard, Mike Tyson, etc.

Pac's infidelity isn't the same as beating a women and you know that. One is a violent crime. One that brings assualt charges with the possibility of jail time. The other is between the husband and wife and their bond of trust. Nice try. But you obviously are scared to give an honest answer and would prefer to skirt arond the issue while defending a boxer who beats women. :-(

If you want to get technical, nobodies opinion is lesser than anybody else's, as an opinion is not a matter of fact. The only real way to disprove somebodies opinion is if you can prove they are basing their opinion on incorrect facts (knowingly or not) or acting hypocritically.

I've always found that people that say they are always right never are, and those that think they always win arguments are the most inflexible people in the world, and believe they win arguments, when actually the other person is just sick of banging their head against a brick wall and just walks away.

I go agree about the personal life/sporting life though. It's entirely up to each person how much they want to separate the "sporting" person from the "real life" person.

One of the issues with Mayweather (and a lot of boxers) is that they try to sell and promote fights on their persona. So, if you're going to market yourself, and your personal life to the public, you have to be prepared for ALL of it to come out.

personally, I don't pay for PPV's any more. They are ruining boxing IMO. If the money that was spent on ONE fight was spread around, even lets say, 5 fights - boxing would be far healthier than it is today.

If Haye/Wlad or Pac/Mayweather had to fight 5 times to earn what they can now earn in 1, then they would have fought at least once by now.
