His best performance was against Corrales.. Looked perfect and dominated the undefeated and highly regarded Corrales, at the time i was picking Corrales and so were at least half of the fans.

I would say the best and most capable fighter that he has beaten is a faded ODLH..

Potentially Mayweather could have been up there with the greats had he faced the opponents the general public wanted him to. He has the skillset, but he doesnt have the desire to do it, so he cant be ranked among them. If Pac beats Mosley which Im not sure he will, he still has the opportunity to add a lot to his legacy by facing him and beating him if he can.

I agree with everything you said.

H2H, he's much more formidable than the legacy he's built, which is a shame.

Now, if he beats Pacquiao, if he's the one to end this ATG run Manny is on, his resume suddenly gets alot better. Its a Hagler-Leonard, Frazier-Ali calibre win, in my opinion. Complete gamechanger.

I hope that happens. Boxing sorely needs a fight that big.

I agree but I'd go one step further. It's my perception that Mayweather simply doesn't like to get hit. He has an upbelieveable skillset, but he doesn't have that Duran, mentality of going into a fight and laying it on the line.

    No.

He'd rank a lot higher in terms of all time greatness if he had Pacquiao, Mosley, Delahoya and maybe Trinidad on his resume. Speed diminishes with age, and I Mosley couldn't keep up with Floyd but a younger version of him probably would and does more damage. Maybe the fight has a different outcome with a younger, primer Sugar Shane.
