Every time Floyd fights, You bear witness to greatness. It can not be denied. Whenever his name comes up among his peers and the media, the magnitude of his skill level and greatness is mentioned. He don't have to be engaged in any knockdown drag out fights or lose or get knocked out and all the rest of that bull. The man is an ATG and second to none.

You are the one avoiding your own question, who are the ATG that he could have fought that he did not?
In his career I see Bhop,Jones, and maybe some people would say Pac.
He did however beat several HOF fighters : Cotto,Oscar,Mosley,Castillo,Corales.
And considering he is still fighting, and many of the people he has fought are still fighting we don't know who he will beat next or how well guys like,JMM,Alvarez,Guerrero, will do beforew there careers are over.
In other words you are a bonehead!!!

"Floyd would have beaten them anyway so there's no point in him going through the actual fight." -*****

I said division all time greats which means greats in a weight class.

The obvious one is Pacquiao. Then there's prime Shane Mosely. Oscar De La Hoya before he too old. Oscar showed enough that night to tell me a younger version could have beaten Floyd. Then there's fighters a step down like a prime Cotto and Williams that were avoided.

Floyd hasn't taken on a real challenge since 2001. It a pity because he had the beating of any of those fighters but just wasn't interested in legacy only easy money.

Pac got a popularity trophy because people don't like the mouthy, hit but don't get hit black fighter, and who can throw one shot at a time and still land 50-60% of his punches.

Floyd is the universaly recognized #1p4p fighter and an ATG. Pac was KOed and exposed as a fraud.

I bet that is the last award he will get, wonder how many of those writers wish they could change their vote now?
As the next few years play out Floyd will rise to the clear top, when he hit 50-0 and Pac has fallen off completely you will see that being great means you stay great after your prime.
Prime oscar,Cotto,Mosley, mean nothing they all faded as they got older Floyd is still shining and still making young strong fighters look outmatched.
Pac has to fight Rios to tune himself up and the crazy thing is the *******s act like it is a real fight.
Guerrero,Ortiz,Baldomir and any other guy less than great on Floyd's resume is better than Rios.
Only blind people can not see light!!:hi:
