I agree with Pernell Sweet Pea Whittaker being in the top of all time but surprised you have Julio Cesar Chavez not in there. Can I see your list so we can compare notes.

As for PBF I don't like to rate fighters until they have retired or there time is definitively over like Holyfield.

This is a good point, poorly made.

    Eh, the HOF! :rofl

  7. To answer Rob's two points....

    1. Floyd is as perfect a specimen for a welterweight as you could possibly find. 5'8''-5'9'', with a 70''+ reach and of solid build.

If other fighters - generally crap ones like Ortiz - like to bend rules to their advantage, and get knocked the **** out anyway that's their problem.

Floyd is so good because he works on his skills rather than cutting weight. Leave the dieting/weight cutting **** to someone else.

    2. Nobody expects Floyd to fight Martinez at 160. If he turns round and says ''you know what, he's too big'' I'd respect him more than saying ''150 or no fight'' or 154 even.

A welterweight champion beating a middleweight champion is huge - but do it the proper way rather than trying to cheapen it. Either properly or not at all.

I'd back Floyd to go up to 160 and beat him anyway.

Thing is - his ability is ridiculous, but so is the lack of desire to prove it. Can't understand it for the life of me. He'd have beaten the **** out of Margarito, back when he was close to stealing Vitali's ''Godzilla'' tag. Likewise Williams, Floyd would probably have just encouraged Williams into an inside fight and then tooled him about 10-2.

But you can't give credit for not doing something. Sorry.

You have to account for the state of those fighters at the time.

Can't you ****ing read?! Further to th list DFT quoted from you... Again, it's not 'Floyd ain't all that' it's 'Floyd ain't as great as these guys'
That is only a few decent wins. Even Ray Leonard has more meaningful wins than Floyd and he ponced about for years as well. Any of my top 40 will have a much more illustrious list of wins than Floyd.

  10. Leonard's win over Hearns is better than anything on Floyd's record put together.

  11. All of them apart from Corrales had seen better days.

    Corrales was undefeated
Golden girl ODLH was Light Middlewight champion and had defeated Mayorga by KO. PBF fought ODLH at Jumior Midddleweight no catch wright crap.
Mosley had just destroyed the feared Margarito
I can go on and on but pointless as there is nothing wrong with Floyds resume.

And Corrales was struggling with the weight and about to be sentenced.

You can do this for anyone, and I do with the old timers as much as I can. But with Floyd, there isn't all that there.

He's coming off a loss and two bad performances against fighters Floyd beat clearly before he did. So yes he would be.

Drained him by 1lb?! He weighed 146 for Clottey.

I just gave him more credit for his wins over Shane and JMM than PAC has at 147. You are obviously a noob to boxing and a Floyd nuthugger :hi:
