As for Pac taking a 'few tune up fights' before fighting Floyd. The Floyd Pac fight is DEAD. A few tune-ups and Pacquiao will yet EVEN slower than he's already gotten due to age. And Mayweather's 'legacy fight' has already been tarnished because JMM will have people always saying: Pac was never the same again...

JMM was a featherweight who became THE lightweight champion before his fight with the Lineal WELTERWEIGHT CHAMPION FMJ.

SANCHEZ NEVER FOUGHT ABOVE FEATHERWEIGHT.

Sanchez began his career at featherweight. Sugar Ray Leonard began his career at lightweight.

Mayweather fought 26 fights at Super Featherweight. 33 below welterweight. So Mayeather fought 60% of his career fights at Super Featherweight. 76% of his career below welterweight.

As a point of reference. Marquez began his career one division below at featherweight.

So no not a good comparison.

Further Comparisons, Sugar Ray Leonard was 5'10 with a 74 inch reach. Mayweather is a generous 5'8 with a 72 inch reach.

Sugar Ray fought all the way up to Super Middleweight. Mayweather struggles at 154lbs and has never weighed in at the limit, always 2lbs below showing his struggles to make the weight comfortably.
