The only definitive thing in that whole interview was that he wants to be known as Floyd Joy Mayweather (not happening)

Yeah, I think you're right. But on the Scene there's another one after the postponement of the sentence. It's only a few days old, the article and the statement.

He's been pretty consistent in chasing Pacquaio from November onwards. If you read the interview he's also discredited the fights, in his words no one knows Guererro, people will say Alvarez was green and Cotto would be called Pacquaio's leftovers

I don't put much too much stock into Mayweather's words. He has a habit of going back on them, moving the goalposts, etc. The same goes for Arum. Who's worse. I don't know what's going on behind the scenes, but the amount of inconsistencies that come out whenever both come to negotiate, makes me believe none of them.

Like I said Mayweather is desperate, he has no one else to fight. Why not offer a contract?

Sounds like there is too much bad blood between Arum and Haymon/Mayweather.

This fight is not happening soon, too many egos and people with their own agenda involved.

Floyd has options, just thinks its time for the big one....if it doesn't happen i think he'll go for Cotto then Martinez.
Problem for Pacquiao is he seems to be on the decline and is it worth the gamble to let this fight and money slip away?

Floyd has around the same number of options as Manny. Both seem to think Cotto is an option,Manny has Peterson and Bradley which are not mega fights,Floyd has Alvarez, who is a bit green but will get Floyd good numbers and a good test if he chooses to persue Sergio....if its ok for Manny to fight Peterson,Floyd could offer Kahn a pay day.If Manny chooses Marquez then with proper judging,he loses out on a mega fight with Mayweather.
Basically the time is right to make it happen so they should sort it out and give the fans the fight!

if that's the case agree with the date that manny and his team wants.. manny can't fight u on may 5 due to a number of issues going on.. fighting peterson, bradley or even marquez would be fine but not against floyd.

it is a good insight into the business and what it tells me is that even more confused and complicated than it appeared.

The kiss of death for this fight is the fact that Floyd can make more money fighting nobodies than he can fighting Pacquiao. There simply isn't the massive financial incentive (for the fighters, at least) that everyone originally thought.
