It's obvious floyd doesn't want to fight pac. He didn't ask nobody to take osdt until he saw a threat to his zero. Floyd sr didn't say **** before pac-hatton fight about pac taking peds.

There are always additional requests, Delahoya made plenty of demands for that fight - glove type, ring size, amongst others, there were many at the time

There is nothing wrong with asking for OSDT, because the commisions drug testing isn't working and is clearly sweeping positive drugs test under the carpet. Boxing is rife with drugs use, just look at the HWs for obvious examples.

Why aren't we asking 'why doesn't Manny want to take a $40million drugs test'. Thats either suspicious behaviour, ducking or Uncle Bob manipulating Manny to make the most he can from his cash cow

I'm disapointed in both fighters not making this fight but the blame is as much with Arum/Pacquaio as it is with Mayweather because they could have made the fight for the sake of a tiny vile of blood

I guess this is where we disagree, if not Floyd (in fights that involve Floyd) then who will? These fighters are independant contractors, who are free to negotiate and work out the specific details of their respective fights...from glove size, to ring size, to venue, to weight penalties, rematch clauses, etc etc. There are no standard "rules" of boxing, there is no "governing body", so there are no protections for boxers. There are minimum liscensing requirements in respect states, they may half ass oversee the process to simply protect the state from liability in case something goes wrong, but that's it. Floyd has EVERY right to ask for sophisticated, modern, drug testing in order to protect himself, his legacy, and the integrity of the fight. I don't see why/how any reasonable person couldn't understand this. He believes the man is cheating, we don't know all the things they know perhaps there's more to the story. Either way I have no problem with a cop asking if I've been drinking, and if/when he's not satisfied with my answer asking me to take a breathilizer, as a matter of fact if I had not been drinking I would welcome the breath test.

I have never seen an "Innocent" man, act so guilty and the real puzzler is "why"? Why are you acting so shady, being blatantly dishonest with the public, having different excuses for why you won't test, going from Roach saying they would take any tests and going as far as to say they have agreed to that, prior to the 1st negotiations even starting, but during negotiations coming with 30 days? They only yielded to 24 days because he was caught on 24/7 giving blood on the 24th day leading up to the Hatton fight. The kicker...he walked from the fight because he wouldn't go down to 14 days...seriously and this is an "innocent man". I walked from 40 million dollars, because I wouldn't conceed to 14 day cut off, now some want to believe he'll take tests whenever and up to the fight? Yet he walked from the first negotiations becasue he wouldn't conceed to a 14 day cutoff, but now he'll do anything...Huh? How does this not seem off the wall to anyone, seriously, none of ya'll see this as strange behavior? This post has nothing to do with PBF, so save the vacation bull****, and "why is he asking...cuz he's scared" non sense. Addressing these issues, what seems reasonable or believable about this to anyone? How could you not at a miminimum suspect that the possibility exists that the man could be cheating and sophisticated drug tests are probably a good idea for all involved?

Nothing to do with official procedure imo, you cant compare apply and oranges, different implication, nothing to do with the fighters involved, as they are not supposed to set the agenda.

Its an official procedure, what do you advocate, that EVERY fighter who has a problem with the official procedure, should stop fighting? fact is MOST fighters are adhering to it, Mayweather is not, take what you will from that.

Why aren't we asking, why Mayweather doesn't want to adhere to stuff fighters, week in week out, are adhering to in order to make their money? they aren't asking for additional!! stuff before they make their fights, and they are prolly getting paid less, have less talent, meaning their chances of losing, are higher, plus, they dont have the chance to make 40 mil.

Boxing gloves aren't chosen by the commision either, they were dictated by DLH, Mayweather accepted. A $10million per pound isn't dictated by the commision either but Mayweather accepted that. Boxing has nothing to do with official procedures, its always been deals been made between promoters/fighters to make fights.

Clean fighters should want more stringent drugs testing because they are being cheated by drugs cheats, not that Pacquaio is 1 but if hes clean he shouldn't have a problem with drugs testing

Like I say, I'm upset with both fighters for not making the fight, you're only upset with 1, which reflects your bias

Its one thing to say , its another to do....

Dont you find it ironic its an issues now though? also, I would say they're are entitled to specify those specific things, but testing is whole different entity imo, which is probably why MOST fighters dont try to get involved in that side of things.

He has his right to demand it, no one denies him that right, whether he gets his decision to demand, is another story, he is not the authority on what is, is'nt acceptable regarding drug testing, which as I say, is probably why MOST fighters, dont question it, roll with what the commission says, they dont see that as in their power to dictate.

Different situation though isn't it, its like comparing a guy who does a 9-5 job, to a professional athlete, even thoughts its essentially a job, the two are worlds apart in terms of variables.

You cant condemn someone on the notion there is no smoke without fire, if you could, it would be just as easy to suggest Mayweather is scared, as he's asking for additional testing, when every other fighter is willing to adhere to the procedures he isn't, when there is not as shred of evident bout Manny taking PED's, that the rumours were started by his own father.

With respect Gooners, no I don't find it ironic that it's an issue now. It's an issue now, because they feel the man is cheating, and he has done nothing but fan these flames of suspiscion with his actions. You say there isn't a "shred" of evidence, as I asked before, outside of a video of Pac using and/or one of his camp turning on him, what evidence would you expect to have or see, other than a failed drug test? That being said, if you don't take drug tests you can't fail drug tests, hence your logic IMO is flawed. Why would every professional athlete not stand by the same justification...there isn't a shred of evidence to substanitate this, I respectfully refuse to take tests? I don't know the man is cheating, I simply believe it's possible, and the drug tests are important.

But isn't it an issue NOW, in light of Mayweather's father bringing it up, a guy who obviously has an agenda?

How much more is Manny fanning the flames that he's taking PED's, than Floyd is fanning the flames that he is not 100% confident he cant beat Mayweather, by asking for addition tests? it works both ways.

Well I ask you, what would be sufficient to convict someone, or accuse them of something, circumstantial evidence, or actual proof?

Like most people at the top of their respective proffesions Floyd is the consumate professional, therefore what ever you may think of his irrastional behaviour he wnts confirmation that he is secure and safe and he is entitled to that because at the end of the day he is the one fighting and has his life on the line every time he steps foot inside that ring.

Anyone can say he never asked anyone to take a test prior to Manny but then you would have to ask yourself was their anyone in his weight division who he was bound to fight doing something many people have never seen since the days of Armstrong.

If a professional missed out on a deal or lost aq fight in this scenario just because they were impatient and becauise they caved in due to pressure from fans and peers then that person is a fool.

    Floyd certainly isnt one.

Without suspicion there will be no follow up to provide the proof.

The difference is I'm not trying to "convict" him as I've told you, I don't know what he does or doesn't do, but there is enough reason to do random testing, based on the outcome of the tests, you'll see what is or isn't being done in terms of "conviction". I'm not trying to imply he IS guilty, I'm simply saying he should take the tests...there's no reason for him not to take the tests, and allow this entire deal to end.

But there is an element of condemning Manny based on the cut off for OST. I think all fighters should take the test, I just question whether its right for Mayweather to single Manny out, and especially now!, it makes it look as though he's not 100% confident he can win, particularly when almost every other fighter out there is taking fights regularly based on the commissions official criteria, now I guess it would be appropriate for Mayweather to demand it if! there was a degree of speculation surrounding Manny, speculation that was NOT generated by Floyd's own father, but there isn't, not pre Mayweather sr comments anyway.

It smacks of a smear campaign, that Floyd, whilst I think he thinks he will win, is not 100% confident in his ability to win.
