In reality Muhammad Ali would be at least above 50/50 with anyone on this list. In reality Ali is probably best boxer in human history, because textbook skill and boxing ability are two different things. Sure little guys are more skilled that Ali, but few ever beat him.

 

I’m not even gonna touch on the fact that you clearly didn’t understand the posts you were responding to.

That isn’t surprising. I’m more surprised how you can watch Lennox Lewis fight and come away with the impression that he was more skilled than Ali. You were just giving Ali **** for his clinching. To me Lennox was basically John Ruiz with great physical assets.

 

Yeah, that list was a bit all over the place.

 

I don't think anyone is debating that Ali was as good a text book boxer, or aa completele. But it should not come as a surprise to anyone that Ali's quality came to a large part from his supreme natural ability.

 

Where does this myth come from on this forum that Ali, more than any other heavyweights opponents are at a disadvantage in height and reach, I can think of around 12 fights where the opponent was the same height or taller with similar reach and within a few pounds either way. Let’s say at the side of Lewis, Wlad or Bowe to pick three off the top of my head where it’s around 6 or 7 a piece who’s opponent’s were bigger or same as them. Myth busting over, I think Ali is greater.
