Floyd Mayweather : "I'm better than Sugar Ray Robinson"

I was just saying it to get a laugh or two out of someone. I mean, don't get me wrong, I think Floyd is going to dominate Shane but, he ain't gonna knock him out.

 

I don't fault him for saying that....I don't agree, but Floyd is a fighter who pumps himself up as the biggest thing ever...and I think it helps him operate at this level. If Floyd wasn't confident we'd see a fighter who is not able to get the most out of the gifts he has. He's already a cautious fighter to begin with, if he's second guessing himself he'd be a defensive shell. But with his confidence borderlining on arrogance he has got to be expecting the kinds of critisim or "hate" that comes his way. Even if Floyd does believe he's better than Sugar...he has to know that no one believe's him.

 

Actually Ray started at 135 and beat one of the best lightweights of the day in Sammy Angott.

That win is at least as good as someone picking up a trinket today.

No, serious as ****. When I say nobody has seen the fight, I mean nobody who wasn't actually in the building. No one on this website has seen that fight, nobody. So, yeah, if you are 100 years old and was in the building that night in 1942, more power to you.
