I said honest OPINIONS and facts. My definition of "killed" in boxing would be a KO loss. I think Floyd knocks Manny out when they fight.

While I do agree with that...that his talent and athleticsim helped him during his prime years b/c he was SOOOO Talented...he was able to do things that most other fighters could have never imagined doing during a real fight. Roy was just that talented...where he could lack in boxing skills or technique and get by on reflexes, speed and athletic ability...moreso than anyone else....Floyd and Manny included. Floyd and Manny have skills they can fall back on which means they'll age better than Roy has in the sport once they begin loosing a step,

but if Floyd's greatness is based purely on TALENT...then that means he's NOT the greatest of all time b/c there have been boxers before him who have MORE talent than he does...Floyd has a great combination of Talent and skills that makes him as good as he is, but greatness is not measurable by talent alone.

 

Why does saying Sugar Ray Robinson is a better fighter than Floyd and would beat him, mean we dislike Floyd :huh

Furthermore, that comment was directed at somebody in specific regrds to something we were discussing. SMH @ people who jump into other people's conversations half way thru the middle of them and think they know what is going on. :roll:

He came off with a SD of a Delahoya past his prime, SRR was a big welterweight that LOOKED like he was boxing, but he was actually knocking the **** out of people and much bigger, stronger fighters too. Floyd has timing comparable to Robinson, but Robinson hurt his opponents every time he landed, not once every 3 rounds like Floyd. This would be like Chavez-Camacho with Floyd running all the time just trying to survive. I think Floyd might win 3-4 rounds out of 15 to be honest. Robinson UD15 Mayweather
