No, it referred to the 2 or 3 idiots I was talking to at the time. Hendo, Little Pea, and this other bum. You don't know what you are talking about. Don't quote me unless I was talking to you, which I wasn't.

You're taking his words out of context. He explained that he's out there fighting so he needs to believe he's the best. Basically, the second he doesn't believe he's the best is the second he loses.

no he said " I'm not giving 33 years of my life to have another fighter say he's better than me, yeah I'm better than Muhammad Ali, yeah I'm better than Sugar Ray Robinson "

which is complete bull**** as a defence to say he is better than them guys, Ali fought till he was 40, Robinson 45, Ali's got Parkinsons, Robinson died at the age of 68 of Alzheimer's, and these guys fought everybody and risked everything, Floyds had it easy compared to them, he's says that he's give his life to boxing, well so has every other great fighter and more most ended up broke, look at Joe Louis.

What does his record have to do with anything? N'Dou was an embarassingly sloppy, one-paced fighter with little to no ring intelligence or back-up skills. I'm sure he'd get by with his punching power facing third rate scrubs looking to make a buck, but against world class opposition the guy was a scrub himself.

He did say that at first, but finished up with something along the lines of having to believe he's the best.

Even Roger knows Floyd isn't better that SRR. He said it in an interview.

As far as older fighters ending up broke, is it wrong for the newer fighters to learn from the mistakes of the old greats?

Of course, the point about that part was that all the great fighter sacrificed even more than Floyd and still ended broke and ill, so Floyd saying that he has a right to say he is better than them because he sacrified his childhood is complete bull****.

Good point on the DLH fight, I guess alot of people are forgetting how close that fight was to the general boxing public, and thats when Floyd was supposed to be in his prime too. Its kind of hard to honestly understand that if Floyd can only scrape by the corpse of DLH, what would make anyone think he could even scrape by a prime WW SRR, or even a semi past it lmw SRR.

And interesting insight on comparing it to Chavez-Camacho.

I would like to see Floyd take some chances for his last few fights. Anything less than fighting the best is unacceptable. If he makes the Matthew Hatton fight happen, then I wil be disappointed. He needs get past Mosley, then fight the remaining best: Pacquiao, PWill, etc.

i don't think he is better than srr

BUT i do find it interesting that he appears more confidant than mosley

floyd says he IS the best

shane says he WANTS TO BE the best

To say you are the greatest dosent mean that you say you can beat everyone else on the list cuz some weights cannot compare

I don't see Floyd matching Robinson's record of 129-1 facing the likes of Kid Gavilan, Sammy Angotta, and Jake LaMotta. Floyd was far too small to handle a natural Middleweight in LaMotta and if judging by how stagnant he was weighing in @150 for 154, he would be a sitting duck against LaMotta at 160.
