Floyd Mayweather : "I'm better than Sugar Ray Robinson"

Robinson was such a great fighter and shrewd businessman that I don't think it would've taken him that long to make a name for himself, win a title, and start making good money on HBO.

 

Robinson was a pretty well known when he went pro. If he went pro in 1996 like Mayweather, he would've signed with a big time promoter. No way in hell would he have been figthting 10-12 times a year. I have no idea why you guys are so impressed with him winning 40 fights in 2 1/2 years. People fought a lot more often back then. Winning your first 40 fights period is an impressive feat. Not many guys have done it.

:huh err he beat 3 future hall famers 5 time in his first 2 and half years as a pro, one was Jake LaMotta one of the greatest middleweights in history while only weighing 145 pounds, thats amazing that superman **** right there, the win against LaMotta alone, is bigger than anything Floyds done in 15 years, .

Mayweather's victories over Corrales and Castillo are much more impressive.
