I browsed through afew of the pages, saw this, and had to respond. So based on what you said....anyone who wasn't easily tagged with flush lead right hands all night at 147 is theoretically better than Robinson. You saying therefore Judah is better than Robinson?!

Floyd gets a lot of critisicm simply because he hasn't fought all the best fighters that he possibly could have during his time in the ring. Who has he fought at WW to warrant him being placed so high on any all-time WW list?

No doubt he's amazingly talented, and has incredible skills. It's hard to imagine him losing any time soon in this era, and he'd be a tough fight for any of the old timers, too. But to say he's the equal to either of the two Sugar Rays is really reaching.. Those guys constantly challenged themselves and were involved in wars in the ring. PBF beat up Baldomir, Hatton (JWW), Fading DLH (SD), and Marquez (LW).

He's truly a great fighter, but fans have been clamoring for him to step up to the preceived toughest in his class, but there's always SOME reason for him to not make those fights. I'm sure he would have beaten iron fists Margarito, Cotto, Williams, or whoever - but damn.. we just don't get to see it happen. It's frustrating to not see the mega fights he could have had, and instead get more "questionable" fights at "questionable" times. At least he's fighting Mosley - too bad it wasn't years ago, but heck, even at 38 Mosley will be his toughest fight yet, which shows how cherry picked his previous career has been, especially at WW.

I've bit my lip from jumping in here as well, t, but couldn't be more in sync with you -- right down the line.

This thread is an embarrassment to the ESB forum.

Haha if Floyd really believes the **** he spews out then he really is delusional.

In saying that, I think it's all for show. He's a mixture of a helluva a talent and a showman. The showman part doesn't really interest me. He creates a persona that the boxing fan loves to hate, he plays the bad guy, hence, buy the PPV and see him get KTFO. He's all about the money, simply business.

If he manages to KO Shane or even dominate him to a decision, he'll have earned my respect to be compared to the likes of SSR, but I seriously can't see it happening and I dont usually go against Floyd much.
