after srr 3 yrs retirement he fought hagler. after floyd's 2yrs retirement he fought jmm and came over the weight limit. this should give us an idea of the character of srr and floyd. and yet floyd is so arrogant...lol

    Leonard did this, not Robinson.

Leonard was better than Floyd too, although that's hardly an insult to Floyd.

And on top of that, wasn't Hagler recognized as the best in his division at that time?

Is it just me, or does it hurt Floyd's legacy, when he says he only fights for $ and not legacy?

Even, though he contradicts himself with that satement in 24/7

It doesn't matter what he says or what the motivation is, the end outcome is what matters. Sugar Ray Robinson said he never liked boxing and it was all business for him.

Look at who Ray fought and who he beat.

Because there is, ****in tough tits. But saying it is one thing, believing it is another. At this point I'm convinced Floyd talks just to get attention, and it works.

What did you have some sort of epiphinay and think you figured something out that no one else could after 600 posts on this thread about this subject?

Honestly, after reading the article I just read on mayweather that made it to the front page of yahoo, I'm pretty sure at this point I really believe Mayweather can't believe half the **** that rolls out of his mouth.

It's kind of funny that in the article, Ellerbe says that one thing Mayweather had to do is just "act" a certain way to get certain "African-Americans" for instance, to like the his image, so Mayweather will make more money from it.

It's pretty bad when you literally are saying "lets act a certain way to exploit how shallow everybody is, and gear it toward this group of people", when you claim to be one of those people. Its obviously about money, and alot of that money just shows how stupid/shallow people are.

Here's on of the quotes from that article from Ellerbe :

"Young African-Americans in the inner city want to look to their own people for their stars, their role models, for their heroes. It’s no different than young Mexicans, who for years grew up wanting to be the next Julio Cesar Chavez. Floyd is a genius and doesn’t get the credit he deserves for understanding how to promote and market these fights. He was years ahead of the curve and understood long before anyone else what he had to do to build and solidify his target audience.”

Lol he is literally saying, lets take advantage of what this group of people think, and act this way so they will want to look up to you. To me that's funny, I officially think if you look up to Mayweather for anything personality wise you're ******ed, well, unless you look up to his acting skills.

The only thing real about Mayweather is his talent to me. I have no ****ing Idea who he is, or who he thinks he is, and the general public wont have a clue because every time you see Mayweather you have to assume he's acting.

Obviously, Mayweather is an actor, it will sell more. Its just funny to think about though when you break it down.

    Controversy Sells.

I'm sorry, but you don't know what you're talking about.
