Floyd fans buying into or trying to defend there boy now.

If any of you fans buy into this **** ill ****ing slam you down with FACTS to why Mayweather isnt as good as 25 fighters all time let alone ****ing him saying he is better than Ray Robinson.

    Mayweather
    Best 5 wins
    Jose Luis Castillo
    Oscar Dela Hoya
    Ricky Hatton
    Diego Corrales
    Genaro Hernandez

    Ray Robinson
    5 best wins
    Jake LaMotta
    Kid Gavilan
    Bobo Olson
    Carmen Basilio
    Gene Fullmer

    Ray Leonard
    5 best wins
    Marvin Hagler
    Tommy Hearns
    Roberto Duran
    Wilfred Benitez
    Donny Lalonde

    Ezzard Charles
    5 best wins
    Archie Moore
    Jersey Joe Walcott
    Joe Loius
    Joey Maxim
    Teddy Yarosz

Now i hate to say this but i know Floyd is talented and quick with great defense but most the guys on his list cant match up to other fighters list legacy wise.

And to true fans Legacy is whhat counts.

I could name so many more fighters with better and bigger wins than Floyd has even come close to.

From Ali, Greb, Langford, Pep, Whitaker, Armstrong, Hagler, Foreman, Duran and the funny thing is i could keep going to Benny Leonard to Mickey Walker.

But thats right most these fans hav'nt seen any other footage of any other fighter except PBF.

It might be hard to convince these fools.

I think he is saying that to be his best he has to beleive he is the best ever! he is clearly not better than Ray Robinson.

Nothing wrong with having that confidence in yourself though! whats wrong with aspiring to be the best?

You sound like you know what you're talking about but please don't compare me to a noob to discredit me.

Now answer this! Have I to believe that Mayweather couldn't defeat Turpin, Fulmer, Basillio etc? You can't be serious!

What possible evidence exists that Mayweather can beat a top class middleweight? Winning a split decision versus a light-middleweight old Oscar?

And Basillio would ****ing crush Mayweather, he's amongst the worst thing I can imagine for Floyd style-wise.

First I'm comparing skill sets. If I say Floyd is better than Holyfield has he go up to cruiser to prove it? **** sake!

Basillio got angry if you missed him and in a pound for pound match up Floyd replaces his face with his own ******* and stands him on his head!

If you're comparing skillsets, why are you predicting head to head outcomes in the same post?

"I'm I expected to believe Mayweather couldn't DEFEAT."

Is what you said. You'd better believe it.

Oh for **** sake lets argue about arguing!:nut

In a match up with both fighters (Money and Basillio) in the same weight class (call it welterweight) I think Floyd makes your man look like a ranked amateur.

Skill wise no comparison (and u know it), speed wise no comparison (and u know it), defence wise no comparison (and u know it).

How does he win? Run in face first and get battered? Yeah good plan! Mayweather all day....

    Actually, good informed post.

But my question to you are what fighters from this current era would you say would catapault Mayweather to the type of greatness of these other fighters?

The reason I ask is because an athlete rarely gets the same credit as those from the past becasue we look back at history through nostalgic eyes but also after evaluating a full body of not just their work but also their opponents.

For example lets say Mayweather goes on to beat Pac and Mosley and his top 5 wins end up being Pac, Mosley, DLH, Castillio and Corrales. Those guys are not rated as high as the guy on SRL's list.

The Klits have dominated their division but they will not be considered as true greats because their competition sucked through no fault of their own.

So once again I ask who could Floyd have added to his resume to be ranked as a p4p great.

Sugar Ray Robinson started his career like 120 something and 1. And he beat the guy he lost to 5 other times. Nice try. Mayweather is excellent, Robinsin is immortal.

exactly...he could fight Pac, Mosley, PW or Martinez and still wouldnt get the nod by some but hell they are cream of the crop right now.

SKILLWISE though...how do you compare the two?

to be the best, you got to fight the best to prove that you are the best, what has Floyd done lately? UD an inflated Marquez? anyone can claim to be great but proving you are one is another story.

Floyd boys doesnt need to defend Floyd on this, what he said is idiotic. its makes you more of an idiot trying to defend what he said.

In my eyes, Floyd's a great fighter, a hall of fame one to boot. But to say that you were better than the man that epitomizes boxing, you are running your mouth too much. Making these statements are why Floyd is as hated and disrespected as he has become.
