How would have Floyd done, fighting the fighters Roger faced in the 80's?

Good question. Hard to say really. I think he shares some of the same losses but avoids other ones. Still gets beat by Chavez and Whitaker. Probably would beat everyone else he fought, I can't see Floyd getting caught with a Pendleton right hand and taking a nap like Uncle Roger.

Beats everyone including Chavez but barring Whitaker, but then again if he's prime and gets Whitaker in his 12th fight too he might well take him

Good point, I forgot Whitaker was so green when he fought Roger. On a side note I think that Roger had more power than Floyd did. -You dont think Chavez beats Floyd?

Floyd was pretty remarkable at 130.

Id give him a pretty decent chance of beating the pre-prime superfeather Chavez...but no way he beats Chavez at his best.

Like PP said Pea was fairly a little green..I think that would be fairly close but Whitaker hit the pro scene with over double the amateur experience of Floyd and he was fighting at an international level for longer then Floyd.
Pernell's earlier work was still very very impressive, I think he got better but he still would have been a nightmare for Floyd...and Im talking about prime Floyd from the Corrales fight.

If both were at 12 fights I would pick Pernell.
