"World champion boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. was acquitted Friday of hitting and kicking his former girlfriend during a 2003 argument outside a Las Vegas nightclub.

Mayweather showed no reaction as the verdict was read in Clark County District Court.
"I was nervous, extremely nervous, because my life was on the line," Mayweather told reporters outside the courthouse. "If I was a regular guy, the case would have been tossed out."

Harris, 25, testified Thursday that she lied to police because she was angry Mayweather, 28, had left her for another woman. She described him as a "teddy bear inside" and said she knew "that no matter what I did, he would never put his hands on me."

Although I don't always agree with PBF, you have to admit he's fantastic for boxing. His taunting before the DLH and Hatton fight was quite annoying, but sometimes he made me laugh, and most of it was for show, after those two fights he gave DLH and Hatton lots of credit.

why do haters come out the woodworks against floyd before fighting anyone....Then once he embarrasses his opposition, yall start downplaying the fighter that you rooted for to beat him?????:huh

In may Oscar was going to win... He lost, and now he is old...

In december hatton was going to win....He got knocked out and now he is too small even though Floyd "Isn't a true welterweight" so to speak..

Im wondering what you all will say when he beats Cotto..

what fight were you watching??? Floyd in no way wobbled ODLH. That would imply he was on his way down or his legs became "wobbly". That never happened. Did floyd land some solid shots that may have hurt Oscar...yea, but wobbled please. This fight was more a dance than a fight I an expect more of the same in the rematch no matter what weight its at. Floyd is now and has been a professional dancer for a while. He only fought with Hatton because he was the bigger man in every sense of the word. He was taller, weighed more, had a longer reach, and slightly more power. Before Hatton the last guy Floyd KO'ed was Sharmba Mitchell... common on buddy.
