I think its more that fact that floyd fights tougher oposition which is due to his lesser ko% i mean come on any pro fighter could get a decent ko% by fighting bums and taxi drivers the majority of the time.

The point of my post is to prove one big point, people are fans of Floyd because he is extremely successful (which I give him big respect, and why I like him) and he is also American. I don't even want to bring race into this, because if it was a white dominant fighter from the US he would have just as big of a following as Floyd does, if not more.

Americans are not fans of the Klitschkos because they are "boring" which is not true at all, especially with Vitali Klitschko. The guy puts on exciting fights and he is an exciting champion, but he isn't American and doesn't fight in America. However, Just look at the Klitschkos popularity in Germany. They aren't even from that country, but they use it as a hometown in where they fight, and the people love them. An example of this is that 13 million people watched Klitschkos last 2 fights. Germany has a population of 82 million, meaning that if it was the same scale as the American population it would have 50 million views!

The point is simple: people follow fighters that either are born in their country or fight in their country on a constant basis. It doesn't matter how boring or exciting they are, as long as they are successful (which is the most important part of boxing) they will have a following.

I like Mayweather too and respect his success a lot, but I had to prove something that was true.

yeah, watching a HW that has every physical advantage over their opponent choosing to jab, hold, and outbox all night is very entertaining.

Floyd is far more entertaining, thats why THE WORLD watches his fights. Floyd being boring is a ****in played out MYTH that people just stick to saying, but in reality even the haters enjoy watching his fights and hasnt had a "boring" fight since Baldomir.

Floyd doesnt have every physical advantage over all of his opponents, mostly just mentally and experience. he really has to face a challenge, be versitile and pull out his tricks to get the victory. Floyd is not even a big welter, but when hes sees the KO, he goes for it.

if i showed a casual fan a Klit fight he'd walk the **** out, especially knowing that its a HEAVYWEIGHT fighting like that. not to mention the garbage competition they fight. cant believe these insecure Klit fans trying to say floyd is more boring than the klitschkos :rofl. damn near ever non Klit fan will tell u your full of ****.

    You're thinking Roy Jones junior

Floyd is simply a guy who was born into a boxing family and immersed in the art at a very young age. There is undeniable talent there, but it's mainly his work ethics and being in the right place at the right time.

People pay attention to Mayweather because he's stayed in the eye of the public, he's kept winning, he's been in interesting matchups, and he has a high profile rivalry.

Vitali is in a largely irrelevant division fighting guys that either aren't worth talking about or aren't well known in America. To make it worse, his fights aren't even televised. Things were very different after he fought Lewis in 2003 so it's not fair to say that this is mostly because of Americans not backing foreign fighters.

By the way, I enjoy watching both of them.

Floyd Vs Judah I rewatched at least 20 times by now.

Vitali fights are always exciting but he is getting too old now. By the way, I find it amusing how idiots just spew out the same tired "jab jab grab" bull**** without realizing there are two brothers and Vitali rarely clinches and uses half hook/half uppercut punches that very few people ever throw instead of the jab his younger brother favors.

HAHAHAHAHA!!!!...Dont lie and compare Roy Jones, to the counterpunching Phenom that is Floyd Mayweather...Roy Jones had NO skills, just reflexes, Floyd is a boxing geunis/child Prodigy/ Micheal Jackson of Boxing, and its a blessing to live in this era to be able to witness the specimen..Roy Jones is a GREAT Champion, but he aint Mayweather!

i said it for yrs, it all depends on who they fight. waldo vs peter 1 was good fight. bt floyd floyd is way more entertaining from press conference to the face off to the 247. to the fight and post fight interview. nothing about wald marvels me like wow how does he do that. he just big and strong fight small bums.

Look at David Hasselhoff's popularity in Germany. That should tell you all you need to know about their tastes.

American television has shown and continues to show tons of European athletes, from boxing to soccer, tennis, golf, and basketball. However, we won't watch Wlad bore the **** out of us so the networks don't pay him to do so.

    Hold on here, Cell.

Yanks watch Floyd. Germans and East European watch the Klitschko bro's. Floyd is surely a bit bigger draw, but the difference aint as big as you seem to believe. The bro's sell out soccer stadiums.

I'd rather watch Floyd because he can dig up opponents like Cotto, which is impressive, while Vitali feasts on whatever bum around at heavie at the time. But stylewise Vitali is always uo for a good scrap, and unilke Floyd he wont spoil.
