Floyd Mayweather is much more boring than Vitali Klitschko

I approach Vitali and Mayweather (and for that matter, Wlad) fights in the same way. I'm not always expecting to see a close, competitive fight, just a good performance by an elite level fighter who will be remembered in decades to come. What Mayweather has in grace and beautiful technique Vitali makes up for somewhat with brutality- he may have lost power but he's still a 250lb man throwing punches. That's the appeal of heavyweight boxing

A commonality Floyd and Vitali have is that if you are watching to see them lose you will find it pretty boring most of the time because it so rarely happens

This guy is a troll, along with Vladimir23 and Champion. How are people still taking him seriously?

I wrote to awesome1612 twice on different threads regarding Lewis-Vitali, and he ignored my comment both times. He knew I made valid points that he couldn't rebut, or troll.

Floyd Mayweather is the best fighter of the last 20 years, has fought a consistently high level of competition, and won his biggest fights. Vitali lost to the two best fighters he ever faced, so that should put it into perspective how good he is compared to Mayweather. His fights are boring, not just because he has an awful style to watch, and because he's so limited. But because the competition that he's 'dominated' has been sub-par. The only memorable fight Vitali has been in, was against Lewis. That was down to Lennox making it a street fight. Mayweather on the other hand has put on amazing performances against the likes of Corrales, Hernandez, Judah, Mosley, Marquez and more. I'm not American, or black either. No-one except for you, is going to remember Vitali's wins against Arreola, or Danny Williams in years to come.

    This thread is pathetic.

Mayweather's live fights are boring. But when you go back to watch replays, they become so fascinating each time you watch because you're able to pick out the little things he does that are effective. I think most people are embarrassed to say Mayweather is boring around die hard fans. They will pick you apart and make you feel like you know nothing outside of watching Rocky films.

I don´t think that they´re really boring it´s more that their fights are pretty one sided that´s what makes them boring but Floyd-Ortiz was a good fight and even Vitali-Chisora wasn´t that bad

There is one point that I agree with you, Neither Klitschko brother fights in America; they fight almost exclusively out of Germany and when the fights are aired it's almost always at an odd time for America so sometimes they can be resentful of that. Casual fans usually don't go out of their way to see a fight unless it's a champion with killer instinct or a killer personality.

I think fighting out of America would have done a lot for increasing their popularity. Remember Lennox Lewis was not white and he was not American but he went through the same thing that Vitaly and Wlad are going through right now; he wasn't appreciated until the tail end of his career. The difference is that at least Lennox made a habit out of fighting in America to build up his fan base. In the end it worked.

But in terms of style? They hold significant advantages over their overmatched opponents yet they carry them far too long. People question their killer instinct. Lennox suffered from this as well; Wlad should have stopped Mormeck in the first round and Vitaly should have stopped Adamek in less than 3. Remember Lennox would occasionally go on a bender and steamroll his opponents.

I love boxing so I'm probably the only one of my friends who will change their schedule and go out of their way to see either brother fight but there are not many who do that, and to top it off there are not many bars that even show their fights during the day- and I live in New York City!
