According to Sky Sports expert ****yst,

Aftter his retirement, Mayweather proclaimed himself as TBE [The Best Ever]. but many boxing historians do not even list him in the all-time top ten for a variety of reasons.

His fights lacked excitement and drama, which is why I ranks several other fighters, like Sugar Ray Leonard, ahead of him.

"Is he the greatest ever? For me no. He’s a fabulous fighter and deserves so much respect for what he’s done in the sport. The names on his record are a who’s who of legends of his era. However, how many of his fights would you genuinely like to watch again? He wasn’t Mr Exciting but give him credit he did put bums on seats." McCrory said.

"he just lacked that excitement that other greats such as Hagler, Hearns, Ray Leonard and that type of fighter had. He’s lacking what you would call that legendary display like all the aforementioned had."

Sky Sports probably think Frankie Gavin is the best boxer of all time.

Since its all down to opinion anyway it doesnt even matter. When ppl talk about the best ever they will really throw in a number of names to reminisce about for their own personal brilliance and I would have to include him for his defensive brilliance.

Far from it beating guys that are hand selected to make you look good hardly makes u the best ever.

And on top of that he's a ped cheat( for how long who knows )

Depends on what TBE means. He is clearly The Best of his Era.

So having exciting fights makes you the best ever? Thats just moronic! What keeps floyd from being truly considered even one of the best of all time is his weak resume. He has wins over hall of fame fighters but those wins came when those fighters were long past their peak. When you got wins over has beens and names like Alvarez,Guerrero,Ortiz,Maidana and Berto during the prime of your era you cant be taken seriously when you claim to be the best ever.

The **** is all opinions people. Some take this **** way too serious. If some feel he is, so what. If some feel that he isn't so what.

Mayweather isn't in his prime. Wasn't prime when he fought Alvarez or any guy that you mentioned.

I'll give the guy that, although it's close between him and Pac. But if gets busted for PED's (and to be perfectly honest, I hope for the sake of boxing if nothing else that he doesn't) this will dramatically change things.
