have no problems, if Mayweather can do it or not. We find out soon if this is true.
Most of the early champs like Sullivan and Jeff were good MMA type fighters.

But having said that, it would be interesting to see a master boxer (not just an average or over the hill boxer) test his skills against jack of all trade (master of none?) MMA guys to see if the superior pugilistic negotiation and superior punching technique (= power) could negate all the other variables inherent with fighting an MMA opponent.

Sounds like a crock of ****, and a big one too. First off Mayweather didn't draw the fans, it was his two opponents, Hatton and De La Hoya. If he makes the switch to mma, there is no reason to believe he will bring any fans with him. There is no promoter anywhere crazy enough to offer Mayweather 30 mil.

If PBF wants a challenge, go fight pavlik.

Not a bad idea. Pavlik is popular with the fans, so Mayweather might just make 30 mil.

There are plenty of challenges for Floyd at 147.

What , did April 1 come early ?

Tell you what I'll take Floyd's place for 1/10 the 30 million dollar fee mentioned. I guarantee a knockout :!:

Floyd switching to MMA would suck. To much unfinished buisness atm. The high lighted part would be interesting. If any of those guys knew how to throw a damn decent punch and learned some stand up defence to go with the ground game it would help em alot.

I don't see him in a MMA match, more like a promoter but not a fighter.. He might be good on his feet but when he gets taken down thats a whole nother story.

The minute somebody takes Floyd to the ground, he's done! These MMA dudes would lay on top of Floyd and just rain down elbows on him. Floyd has no background in wrestling and isnt exactly known for his brute strength. He'd have no way to get these guys off of him. He'd get owned on the ground. Guys would throw him into an armbar and make him tap out and squeal like a pig... Maybe slap a rear-naked choke on him... Floyd is goin out cold...

Floyd is smarter than this, though. No way he does anything more than promote a few MMA fights with Mark Cuban.. nothing more..

Sean Sherk who has an IRON chin would take Mayweather down and smash him inside of 1 minute.

And yes I am aware that Sherk has been accused of roids....
