How am I missing the point of the thread? "Both fighters were so fearful of losing their 'o' that they ducked opponents, avoided serious challenges, whenever the opportunity arose to do so"

This thread is just an opportunity to bash Mayweather and Calzaghe, it lacks depth. Floyd has not fought Cotto/Mosley/Williams/Margarito ok I get that, but just because he has not fought them yet, does not make him a ducker and a fighter who has not tken on serious challengers. At this point of time victories over Pac/Mosley and Williams would only be worthwhile to his legacy.

Sorry, el commondant. We don't always follow set schedules and topics on these threads. We kind of just let them develop natura:patschlly. Is that okay with you?

Probably not...... but it could also be as a result that his most ardent fans would not be using that "o" as ammo for arguments in his favor.
If he had a loss to a top notch fighter in his prime, and was tough in that loss, I betcha it would have quelled alot of the venom spewed his way. It would deflate the argument that he was a cherrypicker/ avoider, etc.
