JCC Straight Right was his most powerful weapon. Better than his left hook.

IE: Taylor, Ramirez, Rosario. Go watch the full fights.

Umm..i will go with JCC UD 115-113. Mayweather will have some success throwing combinations and getting out of harms way, however he wont be able to kept chavez off him the whole 12.

    :huh

A hell of a lot more relevant then Chavez getting outboxed at welter by a southpaw, who is better defensively and overall superior to Mayweather.

Mayweather was clearly bothered by a former sparring partner of Chavez, who clearly has modeled his style on the legend and who basically is just a poor man's version in just about everyway. And at lightweight to boot...which is pertinent to this discussion.

Not even close dude. Pea had way better footwork, faster reflexes (alas dodging vs blocking), and was far more offensively minded than PBF. Can you imagine PBF trying to shoulder roll Chavez? :admin:admin:admin

He would get eaten up in the ropes where he likes to spend too much time.

I'm simply not that impressed with Chavez he was an ATG but he was losing badly to Taylor before stopping him in the final seconds and got schooled by Pea. I feel that PBF being a better defensive fighter than Taylor and equal or better offensively than Pea would give Chavez hell. PBF has a great chin and no way in hell would he stop PBF, I don't no where people are getting that **** from.:-( PBF has never shown any signs in a fight of being really hurt but all of a sudden Chavez would just knock him out please. People never factor in things like defense in the equation and automatically say Chavez by KO which is foolish especially when you're talking about an ATG defensive fighter like PBF. Chavez could cut off of ring but he wasn't a muderous puncher a great body puncher sure but he was slow and methotical in his approach. He would have trouble finding PBF while PBF would have no trouble finding him at all that's the difference in this fight. PBF always comes out on the losing end of these matchups. He has Chavez beat in most departments.:deal
    Speed PBF
    Footwork PBF
    Defense PBF
    Power Chavez
    Chin Even
    Stamina Even
    Heart Even
    Ring Generalship PBF
    Size Even

Have you seen Pea fight? His offense was far superior to that of Mayweather. Also there is a big difference in blocking shots then there is in dodging shots. I'm sure your aware of all the time your boy likes to spend on the ropes.

Taylor gave Chavez trouble not because he was so fast but because he threw so many punches and did not give Chavez time to get off. PBF does not flurry like that and the slower pace would favor Chavez.

I have seen pea fight and he is great..as is PBF...to say he is better is not right...pbf NEVER gets hit...he can flurry if he chooses which he may have to...his hands and feet are just as good and a slow pace favors PBF...why does everyone peg how PBF fights when he has adapted to every situation he has ever been in and has overcome...PBF wins...he has all the tools to beat anyone

If it is at 147, it would go to PBF. I truly believe Chavez would beat PBF at 135. If it was at 140 I would go 50/50.

What you fail to realize is PBF is at home against the ropes probably more so than any fighter in recent history. He can make you miss, block or counter effectively from there. I realize that PBF's and Pea's defense are different but it doesn't mean one is better than the other. PBF is able to counter alot more effectively than Pea was due to him being in postion to get off.

BTW at 135 PBF let his hands go more and was faster as well. I realize that Pea was more active and his jab was more effective but PBF was effective in his own right a master counter-puncher and had the ability to beat people to the punch at will. He also had a good jab when he needs to use it.
