Yeah I saw an old Mayweather fight the other day and he was just so unbelievably quick back then. Still is, but he had a bit more of a go back then. I've always thought Tszyu's accuracy was never a cooincidence though and he has the ability to time punches like it's nobody's business so he's got a good chance of catching Floyd enough to slow him down over 10 rounds or so, but he'd have to get a KO to win. Ahh **** it. KT KO 12!!
floyd UD... the floyd that fought Gatti at 140 was a monster... ok Gatti was no KT but the speed, defense, footwork, accuracy and pin point timing was insane. KT has the big right hand and great timing which might catch floyd out a few times but i just think he would probably start off slower than mayweather and fall behind on the cards whilst coming forward and being pot shotted from the pocket
Cat and mouse for the duration, and probably a case of could Kostya catch Floyd and nail him. Would be a great fight to watch, but frustrating as FMJ avoided Kostya round after round.
Agree, It would be a very interesting fight with Kostya rocking Floyd several times but generally getting outboxed, he would have to pull off a late KO to win
I go with my heart and say Kostya hurts him and either KO's or keeps him running all night. As Gonzo mentioned, on a good night, Kostya's timing was sublime.
I don't often bet against aussies and especially Kostya....however I have no doubt that Mayweather has the better defence, movement and counters and he would set his game plan around these strengths and not engage Kostya toe to toe. Mayweather would wear him down late rounds to wind a UD...if Kostya did lose patience and start consistently loading up and throwing them off balance he could very well get stopped Kostya is one of my favourite fighters....but Money is up there with my top 4 ATF
Floyd wouldn't drop a round against Tszyu. Kostya was a great amateur but he was overrated as a pro, too stiff and lacked creativity in the ring.
I agree with this although Floyd would drop some rounds as he starts off slow to figure his opponent out. I find it a bit strange how Aussies idolise Tszyu and severely overrate him when he never fought let alone beat anyone remotely as good as Floyd Mayweather Jr. I wonder if Tszyu relocated to the UK instead of Australia would people on this forum still be pulling themselves off to posters of Tszyu on their bedroom wall ?
There has been a surge in your crankiness levels lately Francis. Are you styling yourself as ESB's Aussie Forum iconoclast? I think every Aussie boxer has copped it from you lately!
