For starters he should have at least tried/called out Oscar, Mosely, Trinidad and yes i know they were at 147 but way too much is made of jumping up 7 pounds or so. If Tszyu was as good as you say he was then he should still have been very good against elite level guys at 147. Why did Tszyu never call out these top level boxers ?
Unlike most, Tszyu remained at 140 for his ENTIRE career.. Trinidad was just a puppy when Tszyu was at his own peak.. Mosely would have been an opponent to face.. although he'd jumped the 140lbs limit..WOW.. DHL stuck around just long enough to make a **** stain on the division before leaving.. Why should Tszyu, as most so-called greats do, jump, jump, jump and jump again for the sake of creating a legacy??
Another horrible post from the resident know nothing Flamengo. I doubt very much odlh or mosley ducked tszyu like you are hinting at. Fighters go up in weight as they struggle to make weight for the duration of their career, tszyu has acknowledged his own weight issues and said he should have left 140. Also changing divisions allow bigger fights to be made but since you probably haven't viewed any sort of modern boxing you will have missed the great matchups being made by division jumping. Also tszyu had a showtime contract for the latte parts of his career which made these fights harder to negotiate on. I'll keep you right :deal
You believe jumping through divisions, avoiding match ups, claiming versions of titles and having no credibility is something of a legacy???
No BUT having wins over elite level guys is a legacy. Mosely, DeLa Hoya, and Trinidad have wins over elite level opposition, Tszyu doesn't.
F-.... take a look at the records of the guys you list as greats.. which of them dominated a single division for 10 years.. Bruce Woodcock must be a brilliant H/W Champ in your own estimation... Oh.. You've never heard of him??
C'mon now. I would rather have Mosely/Oscars/Trinidad's careers over Tszyu's any day for an obvious reason. They have better wins then him and they did not lose and get stopped by a guy such as Vince Phillips. Keep trying to convince me if you like. I enjoy the debates.:good
No.....but I bet he was another black and white boxer.....mate you were the only guy on this forum alive when he was boxing Whats the reason why you dont go in the tipping comp mate........dont have a colour TV to watch the fights.....try..... www.youtube.com..... take a look you might learn something :rofl
Your the one who has offered nothing. You think a legacy is staying at one weight your whole career and NEVER fighting elite level opposition therefore Tszyu's best win is Zab Judah. Zab ****ing Judah is his best win and he also has an embarrassing stoppage loss to B-level Vince Phillips. Yes or no. Do you think Tszyu's career/legacy is superior to Mosely/Oscar/Trinidad ? At the end of the day what counts is who you have beaten and who has beaten you.
...Not who you've avoided, or who'se avoided you?? Tszyu was the first 140lbs fighter in 25+ years to unify the division... and the last!!
