:deal I've been telling him the same thing for years.
And he responds with rants like 'if i don't know what i'm typing about.how come i'm coming 3rd in the world on the ESB all american primary school baseball tipping competition?"
He's a Victorian though, so i'd say he'd be a ****ing good bloke in real life.
    BTW mayweather on points.

I never said Mosley was scared of Tszyu. The guy went for a payday against Oscar. I don't blame him. The risk/reward compared to fighting Tszyu led him to jump a division altogether. That's not the point. The point I was making, was that it is not Tszyu's fault the biggest names in his division decided to go fight in other weight classes. Kostya's destiny was always about making history and becoming the first man in 30 years to UNIFY the JWW division. An accomplishment I see as greater than anything other "greats" of his era like Mosley and Trinidad have done. You can only fight the biggest challenges available to you, and that is something Kostya has done throughout his entire career. One of the few fighters in history to honestly say they NEVER ducked anyone.

Again with the reference to Zab. Now I agree, the guy's most likely never going to be a future HOF'er or anything, but people quickly forget how highly regarded Zab was before he fought Tszyu. The guy was 27-0 at the time, and widely considered to be a future P4P'er, and Tszyu simply destroyed him. It's easy to dismiss the fact, that maybe he was never the same fighter after that fight (even though he unified the WW division afterwards). Are you going to rubbish Calzaghe's win against Lacy?? A guy who was considered a mini-Tyson beast before he fought him, but is now made to look like a B/C level fighter post Calzaghe?

You state you are a huge fan of Mayweather. I just find it a little ironic that you state a guy like Tszyu never fought elite opposition, but the guy you support is known around boxing circles as the biggest ducker of elite competition this decade (type in Google the phrase "Floyd Mayweather is" and see what google suggests just to get an idea of what I'm talking about). Let's have a look at some of his lame excuses:

    - Mosley - "He's got 5 losses." "He's not a PPV attraction."
    - Cotto - "Too green."
    - Margarito (for 8 million) - "Who is Margarito. His best win is Cintron. Who is Cintron??"
    - Williams - "Not a PPV attraction."

Don't get me wrong, I think the guy is the most talented fighter out there now (and I give him props for finally signing the Mosley fight), but you simply cannot defend the guy's history of taking hand-picked smaller fighters, when there are obviously bigger challenges out there.

Thanks for the reply. You make some points that i don't agree with however.

    * You say "you can only fight the biggest challenges available to you". Well maybe Tszyu should have gone up to 147 and forced these fighters who some here think were ducking him into a fight by tearing his way through 147, but he didn't. Tszyu himself many times stated that he struggled to make 140 as he got older.

    * Yes Floyd Mayweather hasn't fought the best at 147. He started out at 130 though and fought just about everyone at 130 and 135. He was sensational at those weights. If you haven't please watch his brilliance against Corrales and Genaro Hernandez. At 140 the was only really Hatton as a big name at that time and Floyd eventually embarrassed him as we all know. Floyd decided to fight Gatti for big money as Gatti had a huge following. At 147 after only 1 fight he wins a shutout against Baldomir (yes i know he's ****) and then Judah (yes the same Judah who people here rave about when Tszyu is concerned). He beat the last 2 ring mag welter champions in Baldomir and Judah. Yes i agree he should have maybe fought Margarito somewhere along the way or Cotto/Williams but Floyd is a very small fighter and has constantly had to fight bigger fighters his whole career except for the Marquez fight. De La Hoya outweighed him by a stone come fight night.Floyd started out at 130 FFS.
Floyd is now fighting Mosely at 147 who is the king of the division and Pacman is the one who didn't sign for the Floyd-Pacman megafight.

    * You mentioned Calzaghe and his win over Lacy. Well Calzaghe has gotten heaps of **** for his poor resume over the majority of his career for the talent he had. I ask who did Lacy ever beat ? An old Robin Reid, thats it.

    * Tszyu was a good fighter imo but he needed a few more top level fighters on his resume to be up there with the very best fighters of his era.

Tszyu may have struggled to make weight.. BUT.. defending a unified divisions titles, the onus was on him to make weight as a TRUE champion and not forfeit like a coward and chase another.

Remaining at 140 for an entire career does give reason to praise.

Id say Judah and Mitchell were fairly fast. I never said anything about elite level.

Mayweather is better than anyone Tszyu Faced, but a also think at 140 Tszyu would have been Mayweather's hardest opponent. And the hardest puncher.

I said i would put my money on Mayweather, But Tszyu would have a shot as his timing was good. And he had real power in both hands.

Just keep believing it OP... his reputation is questioned due to not facing the best around.... has been that way for a long time, and continues to be the same.

Riggers... I couldn't give a rats arse about how slick PBF is. He'd have to get close to KT for a punch to land.. a risk in itself!!! Hurtado, Judah, Mitchell and Bergman were all good flashy fighters, perhaps not on the same level as your hero PBF, but KT always had an answer for the flashy fighters... patience to draw them in, stalking them and soon enough landing a bomb that finished them.

Its all just a hypothetical now, as PBF had no intentions of facing KT, or any other power puncher in their prime. Keep dreaming.
