Floyd Mayweather Jr’s chin as good as George Chuvalo’s

Floyd had good whiskers but not ATG.

He was wobbled and hurt bad against Mosley (at 38 years) and Maidana (saved by the bell). He was KD against Judah also. Took some big shots without missing a beat though too.

Chuvalo has been stopped and I think was unofficially KD'd a few times. But obviously nowhere near the speed and defense of Mayweather. Two of the best to ever do it. Rocky should really have been based on Chuvalo.

 

That's why a rate Chuvalo's chin higher. His defense was his chin. He took a lot of shots.

Floyd's defense was so good, he didn't get hit cleanly that much. He had a good chin but his game was to not get hit.

 

Floyd had a great chin but one would have to assume Chuvalo's was better. He was nowhere near as good as Mayweather defensively.

 

I feel you but if you look at something like Chuvalo against Sandy Saddler, even though he took a lot of good shots from a huge puncher, that defense was on point through a lot of it, man. I feel like he was slicker than given credit for, because of the myth of Italian Americans being face-first brawlers.
