The dialogue was taken from the Monk scene in Enter the Dragon. This scene was edited out of the theatrical print in 1973 and was never looped by Bruce Lee.

The scene was then restored on video/ DVD in the late ninteties and John Little (a Bruce Lee historian) was asked to re dubbed it. Despite it not being the original Bruce Lee, it is his philosophy and it is taken from the original script.

The scene was removed in 1973 as it was deemed to have been too philosophical and slowed down the action.
