It seems that every time Floyd Mayweather Jr. resurfaces in the media, it's to belittle or bash Manny Pacquiao. Over the weekend, Floyd Mayweather Jr. appeared on an ESPN radio show to talk about his latest gambling exploits and Manny Pacquiao. On Monday, Fight Sports Examiner confirmed with an ESPN representative the following comments made by Floyd Mayweather Jr. to

    .

"You guys must realize this about Pacquiao, that’s just a media creation. That’s somebody who just came around. For someone to beat me would be abnormal, for someone to beat him is normal because he has already been beaten three times and knocked out twice. It’s nothing new.”

Perhaps, Mayweather Jr. should be more specific in his claims of being unbeaten. Floyd has been beaten a handful of times as an amateur. While most fighters in America have an amateur career before a professional one, Pacquiao went into professional boxing at the age of 16. Mayweather Jr. was an amateur boxer at this time. Pacquiao suffered 2 KO's in his career when he was 17 and 20. Mayweather Jr. suffered 6 losses from the ages of 16-19. In fact, Floyd Jr. lost on the world's biggest stage during the 1996 Olympics. It's interesting how Floyd Jr. "ignores" this when saying he's never been beaten.

Mayweather Jr. turned pro just 4 months shy of his 20th birthday. He's accumulated a 41-0 professional record but left behind a 43-6 record as an amateur. Mayweather Jr. has been beaten before and it's not an abnormality for someone to defeat him. Perhaps, if he were to step in the ring with top caliber fighters in his weight class or the junior-middleweight division, he might suffer a professional loss. There's a line of fighters calling out Floyd Jr. starting with Sergio Martinez, Miguel Cotto, Amir Khan and Timothy Bradley.

I would like to see Floyd Jr. fight any one of these fighters, preferably Martinez. And before the Mayweather fans can say that Martinez is too big for Floyd, Martinez (5'10", 75" reach) is only 2 inches taller and has a 3 inch reach advantage over Floyd Jr. (5'8", 72" reach). Floyd has fought in the 154 division when he fought Oscar De La Hoya. Floyd Jr. came in at 150 pounds. Martinez has already publicly declared that he would come down to 154 to fight Manny or Floyd. Plus, I didn't hear any Mayweather fans complaining when Floyd Jr. fought the smaller Marquez (5'6" 1/2, 67" reach). Why is it ok for Floyd to fight smaller fighters but not fight a bigger fighter who's one of the best in the sport?

As for the Pacquiao fight, I'm in agreement with many other boxing fans and critics who have lost inerest in this encounter. Manny continues to fight and remain relevant while Floyd Jr. just runs his mouth, gambles, and commits criminal acts. Floyd has nobody to blame other than himself for ruining his own career an disenfranchising himself from the Americans that he's begging to get behind him.

    Floyd talks the talk.

    Manny walks the walk.

Thats why while one gets respect (Pac) the other demands it but doesnt get it (Floyd).

So let me get this right.

Arum, Roach, Pacquiao spend the last month running their mout off about Mayweather, to sell their fight, and Floyd opens his mouth once in response, and you guys blub like babies.

If you can't take it, don't give it out.

    You have to be honest.

Real boxing fans appreciate mayweather, as they really couldn't give a crap about what they're like outside of the ring.

You know, Pacquiao fans like Manny as he's a celebrity. An idol. not a boxer

Your article (or examiners) is wrong by the way.

Pacquiao fought 70+ times as an amateur, and lost about 15 bouts before turning pro at 16.

Floyd turned pro at 18, losing about twice in 200 fights at amarteur level

    Haha, could have guess

Rick "I get paid to post Top Rank crap for them" Rockwell

I have a question actually? Don't you Pacquiao fans actually get offended, with guys just posting complete crap, to make money out of you?

Do you think he believes this stuff?

Or do you think he realizes he works on a "pay per click" site, and the best way to get paid, is to tickle Pacquiao's balls?

You know, this stuff annoys me.

Proper boxing fans choose not to read Rick Rockwell, as he's a moron, who talks crap, and anyone with brain knows 50% of what he says is either irrelevant or false.

Do *******s respect that? respect that's a choice people make?

Hell no. The minute the guy writes an article, they're posting it on respectable sites, to try and annoy people

Mayweather is crumbling. He's just waiting and waiting to hear that Pacquiao retires so he can come back and fight Spadafora and then claim all time greatness.

Well of course Floyd is gonna talk about Manny. That's the only way he can get recognition these days. This guy is pathetic...so are "boxing fans" who defend him.
