even the marquez fight though im not sure many people expected him to make marquez look a novice and that he didnt belong there. Freddie roach even said it was a tricky fight coming off a long lay off. Mrquez one of the most adaptive and accurate fighters in the game got held to a meagre punch total and looked out of his depth. Its his first decisive loss of his career

    Yes, you're fight.

"We wouldn't fight Marquez coming off a 2 year layoff. Marquez is better than people are giving him credit for, we want the winner" - Freddie Roach

It's in one of "FightFan" videos before the fight, from a Roach interview.

I found it funny, that after Mayweather dominated, the next statement from Roach was... "Mayweather was in the gym the whole time, he didn't really retire."

I hope you're joking. PW called him out but I'll guarantee that fight will never happen.

That was before people say how JMM carried the extra weight. Look at it like DLH vs Manny. People were picking DLH pre-fight, then people saw how drained he was to make 147 and people knew Pac was gonna win, since DLH was a dead man.

I don't like to sit and tear down people's wins but this JMM fight was a flat out joke. JMM never fought north of 135 and it was obvious he couldn't carry that weight. Let's not forget the fact that PBF pulled some ***** **** by having no intention of making the agreed weight, JMM deserves better than that.

DLH and Shane are great fighters and great wins. Ricky was a good win b/c he was undefeated but he was also fighting outside of his natural weight of 140 and no one really gave Ricky a shot to beat the bigger and better boxer in Floyd.

JMM.....lets face it...it was a good name. A decent win.

Baldo? Sure he was the lineal champ....he upset Zab, so while it was a good win for Floyd by being able to pick up the title at WW it wasn't a great win.

Shane and DLH were great wins and he deserves all the credit in the world for those. But those other wins were not any better than his wins over Ndou, Chop or Sosa.

Manny would be his best challenge and best win if he pulled it off.

4 years - 5 fights, I agree the last 5 opponents were ALMOST top notch
except the one which was selected as a tune up and cheated in the process.

the thing hurting Floyd is a bad choice of opponents before that 5
and that during this time he slipped/ignored more stronger opposition,
the 2 year layoff doesn't help him much either.

I hope he will fight PAC and at least two other legitimate challengers
before claiming next retirement, a few KOs wont hurt him either.

These are some of the dumbest, most groundless posts i've ever read. I think my IQ just dropped by half.

Stop making a fool of yourself.

I'm not putting forth excuses..They're truths. I'm not discrediting his resume either; It's very good..I'm just arguing he hasnt fought the "best" fighters as the OP says. With the exception of Shane Mosley, he could have fought better fighters in the right weight division easily.
