There's only 1 great fighter at 147. And he's an old, I need roids to compete fighter.

True. But why the hell does everyone have to always try to take something positive and turn it into something negative! And that version of DLH at the time was better than all the current WW's of today

    Not true.

Antonio Margarito, Paul Williams, Miguel Cotto, and Shane Mosley are all better fighters than Carlos Baldomir and Hatton at 147lb.

Floyd didn't beat any great fighters at 147, despite them being plenty for him to choose from.

    Come to your own conclusions.

Ok, those guys are good, but its only obvious that PBF is better than those guys.

    You said "Great"

Only Shane Mosley is a great at 147. And he's very old, past his prime and needs illegal supplements.

Margo was unknown but given an opportunity which he turned down.

Cotto had a sloppy performance against an old Mosley.

PW was still an up and comer.

    I think that is debatable.

We currently have a solid crop of 147lb fighters, all of which would give that version of Hoya one hell of a fight.

Floyd Mayweather Jr is a great fighter, and did a lot of great things at other weights. His wins over Castillo and Corrales are solid, but I think his impact at 147lb tends to be overrated from time to time.

He wasn't obligated to fight the best fighters in the divison, but when you don't do that and then come out with the sort of comments he has in the media, he should expect to be criticised.

Honestly, why are you so surprised Floyd gets a lot of flack?

Again, just your opinion and nothing official. I didn't add my opinion in any of my posts nor the one you replied to, I simply added what was OFFICIAL at the time, your opinion can be saved for yourself as it doesn't really matter to me, especially coming from someone far too negative when it comes to Mayweather, bull**** is to be expected and I can't be bothered anymore.

Also you're wrong, Mayweather was P4P#1 till he retired, so that wasn't only 2006, it started there and ended when he retired. If his resume is worthless to you then why was he fighter of the year before his retirement?, simply because OFFICIALLY his wins over DLH and Hatton are very impressive, maybe not to you and I don't give a **** to convince you otherwise but officially it was.

About the Welterweight division being in question marks is pure ***** ****, the Welterweight division was settled when Mayweather decided to get there, the undisputed champion was Zab Judah and lost his title to Baldomir, so a #1 fighter was available and active whether you approve of the fighter or not just shows complete idiocy and disrespect. Don't believe me?, just take a look at the progress, Baldomir/Judah/Spinks/Mayorga/Forrest/Mosley/DLH, that's how the #1 spot was earned OFFICIALLY and OBVIOUSLY. It's not Mayweather's problem Margarito was busy defending the WBOgus and it's not Mayweather's fault Cotto was green at Light Welterweight and still "not ready" when he moved up to Welterweight and was only considered a legit opponent months before Mayweather retired.

His decision to not clean out the division was very clear, the man was coming to the end, an end where far too many haters started to rise and talk a load of junk. Whether he thrashed Margarito or defeated Cotto and Berto he would get NO credit for it AT ALL whether you want to admit otherwise or not means nothing to me. When Baldomir was available for a fight people said he's scared from him and doesn't want to clean out the division by fighting him, when he fought him he beat a scrub, when a fight with DLH was RUMORED people said he will run away scared to death yet he took it and won and DLH is beyond shot and wheelchair material, when he was RUMORED to fight Judah people said he's scared shitless and won't move up for him and when he does and is set to fight him, Judah loses and Mayweather only targets scrubs, when he fought and beat JLC, JLC is overrated, when he fought and beat Corrales, Corrales is a nobody, when he fought Gatti some people said(believe it or not) Gatti has a chance to get a KO, when Gatti lost it was expected and a worthless fight. That's back when Harris was hyped as Margarito is today. HELL, people even claimed he's scared from SPINKS and actually give Berto a chance to beat him and a legit threat right now. Conclusion?, haters will always continue to hate, why?, because in boxing it's very very easy especially when there are many options to pick from.

Whether you think his career is worth mentioning or not means absolutely NOTHING, fact is whether you want to accept it or not Mayweather is a great fighter with great skills and a great career. 5 division world champion, awesome first class skills, undefeated, Olympian Bronze Medalist and p4p#1 for 3 consecutive years with only Pacquiao being a threat but falling short in 2007 as Mayweather officially secured it by securing yet his 2ND fight of the year status the very same year a bunch of idiotic haters claimed those 2 fights against Hatton and DLH were not impressive at all, more like an OFFICIAL slap in the face for a bunch of hating *******s. This is the reality of the situation and reality is something haters avoid yet have deep in their asses but continue to deny because the hate forces them to.

No this post wasn't to convince you that Mayweather is a great fighter with a great record and a guarantee in the HOF, definitely not, officially you will be silenced as time goes and silenced brutally and OFFICIALLY(as usual). I could care less what you think or will think but that's the situation surrounding Mayweather and always will, like it or not again I repeat, I don't give a ****.

You guys hating on PBF because he beat Baldomir to fight DLH. If he would've beat Tony, he probably wouldn't have fought DLH.

But everybody in the Boxing community knew that Williams, Cotto, Margarito, and especially Mosley, were all better fighters than the ones Floyd beat at 147lb.

If you're going to come out and say you're better than Sugar Ray Robinson, at least make an attempt to back it up by clearing out your division.

Margarito, Williams, Cotto, and Mosley are all A level fighters.

Williams and Margo showed that after Floyd retired. Cotto had a sloppy performance against an old Mosley.

Mosley is OLD OLD and past it. He's not A level anymore, hasen't been for awhile.

I agree that his career at 147 isn't very impressive. But how do you expect a guy to dominate a division when he's constantly moving up in divisions? And even though he didnt do alot at 147, he's still was the number 1 guy at 147.

If Mayweather got 0 credit for a riskier fight as very first at 154 against DLH by a group of dumb**** haters you think he will get any credit for beating Mosley?

Also a fight with Mosley was approached but openly and publicly declined for Mosley to clear the way for his boss and Mosley is an all-time favorite of mine but that's reality for you.

U can't serious. Honestly you act like Mosley juices. He was given a supplement from Bulko and he took it. In one fight he tested positive and in he next fight he looked the same. Dont you dare disrespect a fighter like Mosley. Mosley is a classact and an all time great. He fought everyone and did not cherry pic opponents like guteless Floyd made a career out of doing.

That's hilarious, I would rate Mosley as class A and MAYBE Cotto, but Margarito is not class A and not even close to class A.
