Floyd Mayweather, Jr, has he surpassed the FAB4? Many say yes, what's your take?

To you it is. Floyd stayed undefeated, and he wasn't a real ww. He stayed undefeated against top opposition...and that counts for something. Hearns lost to Iran Barkley. Yeah he lost to Sugar and Hagler we won't take points from him for those losses, but that loss is why I rank Floyd higher.

Doesn't matter if Floyd stayed undefeated, Hearns fought in the golden era of boxing and was the first to win belts across 4 weight classes, then broke his own record with 5. A bloated, out of shape old Hearns stole an undefeated, ATG LHW Virgil Hill's belt and ended his first title reign. How do any of Floyd's wins compared to that?

Also, Hearns and Barkley had 2 fights. Most, including me thought he beat Barkley in the second fight. You saying Floyd wasn't a real WW doesn't mean anything, Hearns wasn't a real LHW when he won the LHW belt twice.

Floyd gets commended for his longevity and undefeated record, but that doesn't put him above Hearns accomplishments. It would be absolutely mad for a WW champ today to win a LHW belt, especially from an ATG.

That's your opinion. And Hill is not an atg. Bob Foster is an atg. Spinks is an atg, Saad Muhammad is an atg. Hill is NOT an atg. Hearns won 1 lineal title and that was jmw. Titlists are not champions.

And Hearns didn't beat Barkley in the 2nd fight either keep it G.

His nose and face werre badly swollen from being hit in that fight. Clear loss.

Floyd beat everyone. People seem to take that away from Floyd like that's bad. There are anomilies in every sport. Good or bad he beat everyone. Floyd is one of the best little guys who ever fought and from 140 lbs on down I like Floyd's chances against anyone in the history of the sport.

Floyd would have trouble against many guys at 147-160 only because he wasn't a natural 147 lbs.

Floyd has atg skills, Hearns doesn't. Hearns offense is legendary, but he was not a complete fighter. Great fighter though no question, but I rank Floyd higher.

What you fail to understand is most of the "fab4's" opponents were lesser fighters than baldy.

The fab4 had each other and their other opponents were very under matched. Srl had fm sr, outside of (hagler duran and hearnd) sr, untrained and wounded for entire career was his best opponent. He fought srl almost too tough, how would history be IF they gave sr more than a week to get ready ?
