before people go spouting off imaginary numbers they need to realize that the cable/satellite (comcast/time warner/directtv etc) providers take about 45% of PPV revenue and the tv network (hbo/showtime) takes about 10%

if this fight shatters the all time mark and does 3 mill buys thats $180 mill (@ an avg of $60/buy)

after the distributes cuts theres $81 mill in PPV for the promotions to split ... $40 mill is not the egregious offer that some are making it out to be, i dont even think arum would guarantee pac that much

the gate and sponsors will add more to the total (all time gate is $19 mill) but that still makes floyds INITIAL offer, at worst, in the 60-40 ball park

Pacquiao fans are by far the worst. Come one of you idiots please explain why Pac deserves 50/50. Please use facts and not some bull**** like popularity. Floyd's the 2nd highest paid athlete behind Tiger. Floyd beats out Kobe. Manny is more so the 20-30 range and is only worth 30 million. Look up Forbes list. So again. Why does Pac deserve 50/50. He doesn't bring to the table what Floyd does. Facts only.

The 50/50 split is on the PPV revenue. At this point they are doing similar numbers everytime out. Pac's last two fights both outsold Floyd's last fight if the numbers are to be believed. In the past Floyd was the bigger PPV seller, but there is an arc to stardom. At this point they nearly equal draws.

 

ok then so why not take $45M under the same terms that arum offered if you think $40M w/out PPV is a fair shake?
