They would discredit that fight to. Martinez is too old. He waited too long. Martinez was a weak champ. Martinez lost to Margarito. It goes on and on.

It's becoming a default response.

Why argue endlessly over the same **** every time? It cuts right to the chase. Did Floyd fight the top level competition of his era? The answer is undeniably YES. His record, skills and legacy are all legitimate. He's been on it since 1998. That hardly even encompasses his entire body of work as he's fought several other top ten fighters. This seems to be good enough for any other fighter historically. Here Floyd has a plethora of guys rated at or near the very top over five divisions and it's still not good enough ?

    This !

How are you considered great when this is usually what people expect of him :

Did anyone really think he was going to lose to Gatti ,Judah ? Mosley ,Hatton or Balidmor ? Then you wonder why he has critics ..

Why do you act like this would really be some sort of amazing challenge for Floyd when you know, as well as I know, Floyd wins this fight. I want them to fight, and have wanted them to fight, but please spare me this ****...like Manny is the ultimate test.

if we are so sure that floyd would beat pacquiao, then pacquiao should not ahve fought barrera and dela hoya. douglas should not have fought tyson and hopkins should not have fought pavlik. :patsch

so fighting cotto is better than fighting pacquiao? :huh

How can he when Arum won't let Pac fight him and Pac doesn't push for it?

May 5 was open but apparently Pac's cut wasn't healed in time. What about the temporary stadium? Now Arum says that the fight won't happen until 2013.

Straight joke to put this all on Floyd. There is enough blame to be shared from both sides.

Absolutely. I think Floyd does want the fight (now anyway) but he also wants it on his terms and retain a lot of the control. In order to make the fight, he would need to swallow his pride and hand over much of the control to Arum/TR which he refuses to.

Same from the other side. I don't think Top Rank matchmakers are too keen on the fight and it's equally or even less profitable for them to share the promoter fees for a Pac-May fight versus promoting in house Pac fights.

Arum would make the fight if Floyd kept GBP out of the equation. Arum would also have to make the fight if Pacquiao insisted and refused any other fight. Until one of those two things happen, fight won't.

There's blame on both sides. I think rational fans can admit that.:good
