the sports is probably better without someone proclaiming he is the best ever and then duck an entire weight division elites.

The sport's fine without Floyd. It was more than surviving when he retired. It'll do more than survive when he decides to hang it up again. That in itself, is too much, way too much for Floyd to handle. It's too big a blow to his ego.

These kids will do just fine.

Honestly Floyd's contribution to the sport is as a villain. It is the same as what Mike Tyson was back in the 90s. The big difference is that Tyson is about 100 million more exciting to watch than Floyd.

Every sport needs an ultimate villain to make it more controversial. In NBA it used to be Rodman/Barkley (before them it was the Detroit Piston bad boys  ) Every fan can not wait to see them get defeated, to get the full satisfaction of watching.

^^ Give Paul a dance partner and it should liven things up. Hopefully he starts getting some gigs soon.

Floyd isn't half as entertaining and doesn't have half the charisma of someone like Naseem Hamed. If the sport can survive without the Prince, it will do fine without that classless cherry picker Floyd Mayweather Jr. Actually the sport does not need him.

Boxing isn't dead without Floyd, but's definately better with him. I don't know how anyone can deny that.

floyd thinks he is bigger than boxing. he even want an olympic style drug testing on all of his upcoming opponents which was never done before.
