Yes, Hatton has nuthuggers with no knowledge of the sport too. But no, it was no genuine challenge. In fact, pointing out my whereabouts in your point shows how idiotic you are, as if people automatically support/nuthug fighters because they are from the same country. Hatton is ambitious. Too ambitious. And yes, he had to believe he could win. But anyone with any knowledge knew that it was a safe fight for Mayweather. Also, anyone who talked about the "Castillo blueprint" had.... a) Not seen the second PBF/Castillo fight. And.... b) not been made aware that PBF was injured in the first fight.
Newsflash ! Mayweather is not a natural welterweight + no WWT out there would beat him anyway, I actually think JMM & Pac pose more stylistic problems for FMJ in a technical sense than any WWT & we all know Floyd likes to win using technique rather than brute strength. Cotto & co would get pissed all over by FMJ so why not fight guys like Pac & JMM who have taken his p4p spot at the top ? Mayweather will be the fav in any fight from 147 downwards anyway so why not go for the men that hold all aces ?
but the point is people talk about it, and it is a fact. There really is no point in a debate, the fact that people(even in this forum, yes i was here before in a different handle) talked about it proves my point. Don't try to belittle their boxing knowledge just to prove your claim:hi: Pre fight, nobody talked about that hatton would be easy for mayweather..i've been to other boards as well and they viewed the fight like as a 60-40 or 63-35 in favor of mayweather, some 50-50 so like i said no matter how you spin it, in the end it would be regarded as one of pbf's greatest wins by boxing historians and people who knew **** more than you idiot:deal
agreed:good plus pac and jmm are on the top p4p spot for a reason, they are the best out there. I honestly think pac would give floyd problems at this point add the fact that floyd is coming off a 2 year lay off, who knows if he's still the same floyd
OF COURSE, fights against a former Flyweight (Pacquiao) and a man whos had 49 out of 55 fights at Featherweight (Juan Marquez) make MUCH more sense then, oh lets see, men in his own division. I suppose Paul Williams/Mayweather would be a horrable match but Mayweather/Roman Gonzalez (WBA Miniumweight champ) would be the best match for Floyd right?
I'm glad he is back and don't blame him for taking the time off. If all works out then a superfight between Mayweather and Pacquiao would be great for boxing, then hopefully Floyd would clean up his unfinished business in the welterweight division but i'm not holding my breath.
Paul Williams would be a good fight for FMJ actually, Id like to see that one, hopefully we will but all in good time.... just be glad he is back, we never knew he was gonna be back for sure at 1 point & Marquez aint an easy fight for anyone coming back after a yr 1/2 layoff despite the size thing.
You irrational stupid mother****er PBF tried to get hatton in the ring back in 2005 when both were at 140 but Hatton declined.:deal Quit with your bull**** you will say anything to further your hate filled PBF agenda you have no credibility here. PBF wanted Hatton at 140 back in 2005 and Hatton declined it's been well documented and is all over the net period end of story...deal with it *****.:hi:
What part of TUNE UP do ppl not get. After two years do you think he is just gonna get in the ring with a cotto or mosley??? He needs to fight someone who he knows he can beat and get rid of some of the ring rust and lets face it, JMM is good but he is in a whole other league below Floyd.
Im glad Mayweather is back, he is truely an amazing fighter. I hope this is just a tune up fight and he goes on to have some serious fights, just not with the little boys! Hatton to TKO Pac rd 7. Come on Ricky!!!!
Yeah right :rofl:rofl:rofl I'm sorry, but nobody with any sense will regard it as a particularly special win, and I'd die of laughter if I saw a respected boxing historian regard it as one.
