I'm almost as aware of Ali's career accomplishments as I am any other boxers'.

"The boxers you mentioned did nothing for the sport." Huh? I didn't mention anyone other than the two named in the thread title...

I'm not talking about popularity and folk lore; I'm talking about what they did in the ring against whom.

Why are you bringing up Ali and implying I don't respect him or something? If you read our exchange, it comes across as totally left field of you. You come across as bitter for no reason and in no direction.

Jack Johnson did revolutionize the sport but no were near as much as Ali. Ali done the most for the sport of boxing and that's why his legendary status is rightfully the Father Of Boxing. Ali is the most popular boxing of all time. Millions of people today love Ali. Your point is irrelevant. Accept the facts.

No you don't. What you're stating tells me you have no idea and clue what Ali done for the sport of boxing. Plain and simple.

You mentioned Sugar Ray Robinson and Henry Armstrong.

Ali is bigger than boxing. When you talk about Ali, you have talk about what he done for the sport not just in the ring. Both are just as impressive.

Are you fan of Ali? If you are then you're not a true fan of his because you have no idea what he done for the sport.

"No idea what he done for the sport"

He was the start of the PPV era, he was ultimately a guy who was in boxing more so for his own ego than anything else, he was a giant due to the changing social culture but his personality, ego and such was all considered to have damaged boxing

You still got a lot to learn about Ali and the feats he achieved that him unparalleled in boxing. Boxers and boxing fans should thank Ali so much because the boxing world would be entirely different today if it wasn't for him. You probably wouldn't see your favourite boxer fight if it wasn't for Ali because he influenced them to start boxing in the first place. Don't try and fool me. You're only saying that because he was bringing his religion into it. How dare you say that when he done the most for the sport of boxing. By that logic, Bruce Lee damaged Martial Arts. See your stupidity?
