So then why was Floyd a 3.5-1 underdog? You God Damn moron. Many expected Floyd to lose. He rose up to the occasion

Vargas did not, he got spanked. Vargas beat Quartey, Wright before he had the match against Trinidad. How long must he wait? Excuses, excuses.

    Simple.

I wasn't gambling back then so I would not know.

I am pretty sure Vargas was a dog versus Cheato Trinidad.

You just agreed with me. Floyd was ready for that fight and was the superior fighter. Vargas was NOT ready for Tito, at all.

Yes, Ricardo Lopez ranks higher than almost half the guys you listed as better than Floyd, and Floyd is better than Lopez by the opinions of just about everybody out there.

He is the unquestioned GOAT at 105, and moved up well for his career last hurrah at 108.

People don't know about him or his opponents and disregard the weight class entirely, but it doesn't change his incredible resume and stunning "accomplishments."

edit: Okay, not half, but certainly above some of em...

Except he beat Wright, Quartey before that match. He was ready, he just couldn't get the job done. Wright at the time was a top quality fighter and Vargas beat him.

Floyd fought bums before he faced Genaro (He wasn't ready either) but he got the job done. Ffs the best fighter Floyd faced before Genaro was Tony Pep :patsch.

If anyone here hasnt seen Ricardo Lopez fight go over to youtube and watch. If i had to describe boxing to someone who had never heard of it i wouldnt bother i would just show them a video of Ricardo Lopez boxing. About as close any fighter has ever came to perfect technique

Yup, but he is comparing apples to oranges.

Floyd beats the favorite and is #1.

Vargas loses to the favorite and is a bum.

    :rofl

Vargas was not ready for Trinidad. I can't see how it is that hard to comprehend.

I specified that the list I made was not my TOP 20.

It was 20 fighters I WOULD PLACE ahead of Floyd.

    Big difference.

But he was, he beat Wright and he beat Quartey.

Floyd beat Tony Pep :patsch, if anything he wasn't ready.

It's just a testament to how good Floyd was and how **** Vargas was. Vargas was a bum. He should have retired before the Mosley fights. He didn't belong there with him.

Wright and Tito were so different.

And Vargas was LUCKY to beat Wright. That was a really close call. I use to score it 114-114 after I would watch it.

You're right, after the Cheato and DLH beatings, he had zero left...and he still gave Mosley a tough fight the first go around. The second, Mosley sparked him.

Can you stop giving excuses? Floyd fought an undefeated Corrales and a 38-1 Genaro when he was still young.

    TOp of the line fighters.

Vargas retired at 30. Lost every super fight he's ever been in because he's just not a top quality fighter.

Once again, Sven Ottke ranks ahead of him. Get over it.

It's Friday night and I'm going out. I don't wanna argue about this anyway, but I will leave it at this.

Floyd is a great fighter. I hate the dude and criticize him but am STILL smart enough to know how good he is. My knock on him is I feel he hand picks his opponents. Many people feel that way.

I ain't asking him to fight someone 4 times his ****ing size. I actually would even take his side and say a fight with Martinez be insane to take, as Floyd would be a small man compared to him.

I just want him to fight live bodies. I think the Cotto fight was his best resume fight in a long time, and it showed. He was in for a FIGHT with Miguel.

Is it that much to ask for from the so called best fighter on the planet?
