Oscar's is the worst he also has the biggest agenda since PBF beat him every opponent PBF has fought he has picked against him. Oscar has no credibility when discussing PBF, might as well be Boxing_Master commenting about PBF.:deal

They fought a very similar level of competition overall (DLH has a few more huge names in his W column, but were Chavez & Whitaker prime when he fought them? :think) and one lost a bunch of times, while the other didn't.

In a three year span, Mayweather has elected to get in the ring with three men critics said he would never step in with: Cotto (now the lineal MW champ, FWIW), younger bigger unbeaten phenom and natural light middleweight Canelo, and now Pacquiao (who's still, even past his own sell-by date, higher on p4p lists than Hopkins ever was, at his MW peak).

Plus three other fights against two very solid guys in Maidana & Guerrero.

This is all just icing on the cake.

Mayweather, like DLH, already had made himself a HOF lock before he even debuted at welterweight.

I don't remember loads of people saying he would not fight cotto and what has canelo ever done?

If floyd went up to fight hopkins at 160 at that time he would of gotten destroyed a lot sooner.

    Oscar has fought harder fights.

They said it for years, actually. It was a long-anticipated match-up, well before anyone even dreamed of Pacquiao (then still campaigning in much lower weights) taking on Mayweather. It almost happened - Bruseles, who is trained by uncle Evangelista, was supposed to be a tuneup for Cotto - but didn't, because of Bob Arum.

"floyd will duck cotto harder than he did pacquiao and margarito for sure"

"if cotto joined GBP floyd will most likely go on his ...what is it, third retirement?"

"floyd doesnt fight credible fighter thats why...................floyd will never fight cotto............floyd would rather sign up with arum if cotto decides to go with GBP......................"

" to do that he needs to fight cotto..............something we all know floyd will never do...............its embedded in his DNA to avoid a fighter like cotto.............."

    ^ all in one thread.

"Floyd will never fight cotto... Because according to the Undefeated COWARD, "Cotto lives in Puerto Rico".... (hint: research it on youtube)"

"Floyd's a *****. He retired cause he doesn't wanna get exposed by a guy who'd show him no respect. Cotto can match him, he'd take the fight to Floyd. Floyd ain't dealing with no 35 year old shot inactive Oscar who gets tired legs after 7 rounds, nor is he dealing with little hugger Hatton who's arms are so short, he has to jump to land a punch. Cotto would make him bleed, that's why Floyd wants no part of him. So he retired.
Floyd will never fight Cotto. He's too much of a ***** who wants easy handpicked fights. "

Tons more example if you want me to continue to copy & paste.

    You were saying?

Other than collecting his first world title belt in his teens and his 2nd by the age of 22? Racking up a 42-0-1 (30) pro record before copping his only professional defeat so far against the pound for pound number one? 8-1 against current or former world titlists?

    :huh

    Nothing, really.

Uh, possibly. I guess. Hopkins would be the favorite, sure, but sooner? DLH was pretty available for him to hit (and had looked bad in his previous outing at middleweight, dipping his toes in the water against Sturm and having to get by with a gift decision) - I'm not sure Hopkins is finding Mayweather's liver quite that easily.

    Yes, and lost a bunch.

Miadana is the ultimate brawler but paciou come from the same brawling stock but a lefty and speed and power the only thing with speedy punching boxer is a lot of it lands in no mans land which to me is a waste of time and effort, and it becomes monotonous and eventually gets timed especially once the energy and pace starts to slow you see Khan is one of the fastest puncher around and danny Garcia is one of the slowest ,but Khan got timed and knock down
paciou throws lots of shots in to no mans land and may score 3 out of ten of them, paciou throws 100 per round and a lot in no mans land and Mayweather is accurate and part of that is due to his timing

    5? :think I guess.

Not a crazy amount, but yeah, probably more than usual.

Mayweather & Mosley have four. (Pacquiao, De la Hoya, Alvarez, Cotto)

Floyd could not have cherry picked Oscar! Because Oscar was on the A side and had say so of the Ring size, glove size and weight !

Oscar: he (Pac) is no faster than, say, Mosley - but the way he moves is like a bee, annoying, hard to keep track of...
