Lol, B-Hop reaching - saying he felt like he really helped to personally heal America's spirits when he stopped Trinidad, post-911.

Lennox spitting the real. "if he is feeling pressure, he's creating it for himself" since Floyd's been boxing his whole life and has been in high pressure situations already.

foreman: don't look for the knockout. Win 1 round at a time.

Lennox is schooling Bernard in boxing knowledge, IMO.

Big George mostly keeping silent but wise on the occasion he does speak.

Mayweather gives away the first three rounds, which isn't unusual, but he fails to make up the deficit over the remaining nine. Pacquiao tight.

Lewis - Mayweather edges it. "You can not catch it, you are not going to hit it".

Hopkins - Pacquiao will come out guns blazing in the first half. Mayweather will take a decision, airtight.

ya, I'm actually surprised. Lennox is dropping knowledge! Only real time I've heard him speak in length was when he was commentating on the Mayweather and "Jab" fight

Foreman just made another good point there. Mayweather may end up losing the majority of the early rounds and not be able to catch up by the end.

IB, would you say a big key to the fight is how quickly Floyd can make Pacquiao a "thinking" fighter rather than trying to blitz Floyd?

Big George incredibly honest there. He doesn't even put his own biggest moment (albeit in a losing effort) in the "biggest three boxing events of all time". He says Louis Schmeling II was #1, Ali vs. Frazier I #2, and Mayweather vs. Pacquiao will be #3. Kellerman agrees - with the caveat of "so long as the fight is entertaining"

correction Oscar said his head says Floyd, but his heart with many.
Meaning he favors Floyd but hopes many wins.
hatton, marquez and Mosely all picked Floyd ..
Cotto being the only one who picked neither fighter.

I don't know, "Pacquiao is special, when I fought him it felt like I was in with somebody that was special" and "Mayweather felt like nothing special to me" combined with "Pacquiao is going to push Mayweather like he never has been pushed :hey" seems like Oscar leaning toward Manny to me. :conf

Actually, man, you have probably been a "hardcore" fan of the sport longer than even I have, to be honest.

I was a "casual" through about MAB vs. Hamed (which only preceded 9/11 by a few months) - and I only followed the HW and featherweight divisions religiously for a couple of years thereafter - it wasn't until around 2003/2004 when I became a true "diehard".

I remember hearing about Hopkins' dismantling of Tito, and being vaguely aware who both of them were, but to me it probably didn't have the same impact as to you, being more informed (as of then) about more of the sport than myself.

It's not even that, I don't think. Probably had something to do with the fact I was a few blocks from the WTC on 911, and that I remember being in Manhattan everyday after that, the fight got pushed back 2 weeks because of 911, and I remember just an emotional charge/funk at that time. Prior to that though, I was in the minority picking Hopkins to win the tournament (most favored Tito from even prior to his bout with Joppy, and more so after that - Hopkins' performance against Keith Holmes wasn't held in high esteem by many so that added to the perception of Tito being even more invincible).

But that night, watching Hopkins dissect Trinidad - it really was the best I had felt post-911, and I probably didn't feel that good again until that Novemeber when the Yankees had back to back miracle games against Arizona in the World Series they wound up losing.

Oh really .. Floyd is a very smart calculating fighters.

I didn't realize it was a trap until it was too late.

My minds says Floyd but my hearts with Pac.

Logic and feeling are too different things, but when you come right down to it .. Their opinions does not matter, the fighters will have the last word.

    #noexcuses!!!
