***Floyd Mayweather Jr. Might Be the Dumbest Man in Boxing***

He had tax problems, he never filed for bankruptcy......big difference....lots of people have problems with the IRS, including middle class people....

 

Because they aren't the same type of fighters? You really know **** bout boxing srry.

 

Yea jail time for tax evasion or unretire? Lots of people don't have problems with tax evasion.

 

All these people on a boxing forum, and some writer at a desk makes an article saying "floyd mayweather, jr. might be the dumbest man in boxing" don't stop and think he used his natural talent to amass millions of dollars.....That is quite smart, and pretty simple to understand...

The guy who wrote this article is completely off base when he says we shouldn't seperate the man from the boxer.....Floyd's job is being a boxer....who gives a rat's ass what his persona is.....I myself don't like all his antics, but who cares.......

You equated his problems to the problems normal people like you and I might have in being able to pay our taxes and stay afloat when in reality he was into the IRS for something like $7 million dollars (correct me if I'm wrong).

Normal people don't do with tax evasion.

Many people in america have tax problems.....has mayweather ever been convicted of tax evasion? No....And remember he paid back his IRS debt....they took it out of his marquez fight purse....

 

If he couldn't pay them through working out that deal from the fight purse, what do you think they would have done to him?

Again, I find it obnoxious to lump Mayweather in the hardships of life that I and others go through. Don't ****ing insult us.

You realize mayweather wasn't raised as a millionaire, he worked his way up....it should be respected....people just need to stop the hate....I don't have a dog in this fight.....I lean towards floyd because I like his style of fighting....but not a hardcore fan.....

I'm unbiased talking about floyd and manny....I give them praise and I also criticize both...

You need separate his style of fight from the man himself. They aren't the same. If you can't separate the two, you'll never be unbiased.

I think the guy is incredible as a fighter, though I have some questions because he hasn't fought anyone of consequence in a while, maybe ever? As a person, well that's obvious isn't it?

Btw, did you know he asked Pres Clinton to pardon his father who was serving a 5 year term for drug trafficking so he could watch Jr fight in the Olympics. Seriously, this is the level of his narcissim, his suspension of reality.

Regarding the article anyone who thinks Manny gets endorsements because of humility is just plain dump and ******ed.Manny is not judged by Western Standards,if he was he wouldnt survive.All those allegations of cheating his wife would have resulted in withdrawal of endorsements because companies dont support such.The only reason Manny is endorsed is because he's one of the few Asian heroes with internaional exposure.He has 90m people in his own country who worship him and other Asian countries who do the same.There are also millions of Filipinos outside their countries the likes of Jolibe have managed to expand international operations to service the Filipino clientelle.Manny's recognised all over & character is judged differently where he comes from .

This explains why Cotto has endorsements.His extra curicular activities are less than stellar and he's known to be arrogant.The targeted market (Puerto Rico) doesnt care about that so Cotto's exposure alone is enough to get him endorsed.Even Juanma has endorsements.Then you have people like Clottey,where he comes from is an insignificant market and few Western Companies will want to endorse him.

To think just because Floyd doesnt have endorsements is dump is plain stupid.There are worse cases of people who were not good models but still were endorsed,Evander Holyfield was a known cheat yet he was endorsed.Amir Khan got endorsed just because he was different and well presentable.It all depends on what the companies are looking for.
