Floyds done...great career but a damn shame he ducked the best.

 

I'm utterly shocked that he says sis. For a warrior like Mayweather, this is completely out of character.

 

why are you shocked? he's done this before. same thing a few years ago when they were negotiating with pacquiao.

 

I know sarcasm doesn't translate well over the internet, but I was sure using a word like "warrior" would give it away.

If he really wanted to make the Pacquaio fight he would. If he can afford to throw away 300,000 on bets (that we know of, probably more) and show it off, then he should be able to budge a little on his stance on the purse split. Then his friend 50 cent set up a company for the fight to happen for God's sake, and now he doesn't want to fight? He has years to focus on his promotional company when he retires in a year or two. What have Mayweather promotions even done yet? Someone said he is the the cheque-cashing business but he won't cash Manny's cheque, that's a good analogy. Pacquaio has some responsibility for the fight not taking place maybe (at least not pushing harder for it) but Mayweather 'taking a break' again when both him and Pacquaio had no opponents, even when Pacquaio looks past-prime, doesn't look good for him. Maybe that's why him and 50 cent look to have fallen out, 50 could be angry that he ain't making an effort to make Pacquaio fight so TMT was a bit of a waste of time.
