Actually they agreed to the drug testing...the problem was after PAC agreed to the testing the split all the sudden became an obstacle again. Back in 2009 both sides moved past the whole "even split" hurdle and it was the "CUT OFF" that held up the fight.

Very rare that a ******* knows the sport.

I watch all divisions and fighters. I can talk any era and that is something more than 95% of *******s on forums can't do. Even media addresses them this way. They didn't even start watching the sport (most) until Dec 2008 when Manny beat Oscar. They just don't have the knowledge of the sport to put up a good argument (95% of em don't). I have seen one or two who know their stuff, and usually those ones get a clouded view when talking Manny.:thumbsup

Floyd is getting old man, he needs to fight canelo and end his hype train. Then beat pac and solidify his career.

They did not agree to the drug testing that holds the integrity. Floyd offered 14 days.

The money "became" an obstacle because Floyd produced much higher numbers than Manny after the 1st negotiations.

Back in 2009, based on the numbers, Manny and Floyd were producing the same revenue. Fast forward, and Floyd is producing higher revenue than Manny thus he is making more per fight than Manny.

Floyd did $94,000,000 in revenue with a guy Manny did $71,000,000 in revenue with.

You mean the lw that Manny can't beat convincingly in 3 tries?

Floyd would like to beat Manny, but HE DOES NOT WANT TO GET RAPED AT THE NEGOTIATION TABLE. Manny would more than double his career high payday with a 50/50 split while Floyd would only make about $7 million more than his highest payday of $45 million.

The numbers support a 59/41 split in favor of Floyd. Manny should make about $43 million in the fight while Floyd would end up with about $62 million.

Manny would end up with approx 37.5% his highest payday while Floyd would only make about 31% more than his highest payday.

PBF is probably done with boxing for awhile, right now he's doing club appearances he was here in Houston on Friday. IMO he should retire and the leave the sport for good.

They eventually did agree to the testing demands made by Floyd. The testing hasn't been a real issue since PAC has said he would agree to testing up to the day of the fight.

14 days was offered after negotiations failed the first time.

When the 2nd negotiations took place PAC beat Cotto...Floyd had beaten JMM after coming out of retirement and PAC actually had the bigger PPV event. Floyd does draw a little more than PAC overall in the US market but he fights less. PAC has had more PPV events and overall produced more revenue. Floyd's Average is definitely better which is his stance.

Floyd definitely has a right to ask for the lions share but his offer was ridiculous in my opinion. No PPV money and just giving a $40 Gurantee is not something PAC would agree to and in my opinion wasn't an offer that would indicate Floyd really wanted the fight.

The first negotiations happened after Pac beat Cotto.

The "second negotiations" hardly took place because Team Manny said they would only go to 7 days from the start (see Pac-Margo 24/7 Koncz interview), so Floyd told em to **** off as there was 0 tolerance for any type of cutoff at that point. Floyd made this clear at mediation, that the only time a cutoff would be offered was at that moment.

Here let me give you the revenue numbers, so you can see what each deserves based on everyone since both fighting Oscar.

I know my Pac-May story bro.

    Corrected and updated post.

    Floyd Mayweather PPVs

vs Oscar De La Hoya (2,400,000 buys - est. revenue $138,000,000)
vs Ricky Hatton (920,000 buys - est. revenue $46,000,000)
vs Juan Manuel Marquez (1,050,000 buys - est. revenue $52,500,000)
vs Shane Mosley (1,400,000 buys - est. revenue $78,000,000)
vs Victor Ortiz (1,250,000 buys - est. revenue $78,400,000)
vs Miguel Cotto (1,500,000 buys - est. revenue $94,000,000)

    Total buys = 8,520,000
    Average buys = 1,420,000

    Total est. revenue = $486,000,000
    Average est. revenue = $81,150,000

    Manny Pacquiao PPVs

vs Oscar De La Hoya (1,250,000 buys - est. revenue $71,000,000)
vs Ricky Hatton (850,000 buys - est. revenue $42,500,000)
vs Miguel Cotto (1,250,000 buys - est. revenue $72,500,000)
vs Joshua Clottey (700,000 buys - est. revenue $35,000,000)
vs Antonio Margarito (1,150,000 buys - est. revenue $57,500,000)
vs Shane Mosley (1,340,000 buys - est. revenue $73,000,000)
vs Juan Manuel Marquez (1,450,000 buys - est. revenue $74,000,000)
vs Timothy Bradley (700,000 buys - est. revenue $35,000,000)

    Total buys = 8,690,000
    Average buys = 1,086,250

    Total est. revenue = $460,500,000
    Average est. revenue = $57,562,500

$81,150,000 (Floyd's average est. revenue) + $57,562,500(Manny's average est. revenue) = $138,712,500(Combined average est. revenue)

    81,150,000/138,712,500= 0.585
    57,562,500/138,712,500= 0.414

59/41 split is not "slightly more. Floyd does about 27.5% more in revenue on the average. That is not "slightly" that is better than 1/4 of what Manny does.

Based on the numbers, Manny deserves about $43 million while Floyd would get about $62 million. Manny should have had Arum get involved and the numbers could have been shown to him.

Also, Arum shot down Richard and Oscar's idea of plugging the equation in...now you see why...
