It looked like a near drop to me, his legs buckled and the only thing that stopped him was falling into Floyds body.

The shots Floyd landed on Oscar that had him "wobbled" were when Oscar was coming in off balanced. I don't think Floyd had him seriously hurt the entire fight.

As for the OP, he is both. There is no denying his boxing talent, but there is also no denying his fighting style.

Probably from those sneaky elbows Fraud likes to throw.

Fact is Fraud ran from Baldy, the crowd boo'd and walked out in the middle of the match because of it. Fighters dont get boo'd, runners do.

Woulda, coulda, shoulda. If Gatti would have hit Pussyboy in the teeth with a ball peen hammer, *** floyd would have been finished. You either get dropped or don't. And he didn't, so WTF are you babbling about ???:nut:nut

I bet it looked to you like a toe to toe fight, right?

In other words you haven't followed Floyd's career whatsoever, haven't seen his earlier fights, but tuned in because he fought someone you like in De La Hoya - only to be disappointed because for half a second when the cards were being announced you thought De La Hoya had stolen a victory you could celebrate - but then were disappointed? Heh, take a walk. You haven't seen his other fights and as such have no opinion that counts.

In the words that would have a true meaning, I have seen all the Floyd fights BigReg mentioned and more, just that I don't feel like to rewatch em for this point - Bruseles and the Mitchell fights were all Mayweather shows and see how many turned up for those ones, 8 rounds to TKO a nobody from PRico and another 6 in Portland with James Toney attending ( also Chop Chop Corley joining the Mayweather circus in the post fight). I have no symphaty for Greedy Boy De La Hoya and had Mayweather 8 rounds to 4 in that one, so I didn't celebrate cause Mayweather's win also didn't mean a Damn thing to me. Ricky Hatton coming through Kostya Tszyu's right hands and left hooks meant something to me, meant that Hatton had the heart to sacrifice and since I consider Tszyu a better fighter ( not a better boxer technically) than Mayweather, I expect Hatton to give a helluva nightmare to Floyd. Probably, Floyd gets away with it but not looking pretty anymore and that is pleasing enough... Of course, that an opinion standing in opposition to some in this thread wouldn't count but hey, you gat to take it anyway...

Yeah, we're all losing credibility at light speed cause we mention something you can't descredit. Hoya had Floyd fighting on the back foot and taking some left hooks, jabs and even long rights ( 11th round), Floyd was mostly waiting for Hoya to decrease his work rate and capitalise with left hook leads and overhand rights, just opened up into the last 30 s of the fight. Larry Merchant also clearly mentioned that he said he would make a massacre of Hoya, all would be "Blood, sweat and tears" and fought the way he did - that can tell us a lot about what's coming next aginst Hatton... Concerning the Judah fight, he was legitimate knocked down and had the merit of turn it around; against Baldomir, he ran all around the ring from the 9th round on ( yeah, he had the excuse of the broken hand); against the Henry Bruseles kid, he was 8 rounds in there with him; against Sharmba, he fought cautiously enough ( maybe cause it was his first 147 pound fight) and dropped him from a safe distance with a long right hand to the body; against Chop Chop and NDou, he didn't ran; but against JLC, take a wild guess of what I'd say.... Verdict ( as BigReg puts it) : The guy is not strong enough at 147 pounds, his hands are fragile, his body is said to be tearing apart, his boxing skills don't make up for his lack of fighting commitment - doesn't matter if he retires or stays and wins a unification at 147 pounds, I know how he'd do it so it's already like he has a contract written for a homeplace in the land of oblivion for me.

What does the crowd, or anyone "showing up" to Mayweather fights have to do with Mayweather being a runner or superior boxer? What does Hatton vs. Tszyu have to do with Mayweather being a runner or superior boxer? You have no clue what you're talking about and I still altogether question that you've seen his fights.

Yep, his posts are vague and poorly put together. That's the best way to be when you're trying to hide that you don't know what you're talking about. The problem is that it can be easily recognized.

I was there for the Mayweather fight, but the only reason I went was because I got free tickets. I knew the fight would suck, and it did.

It was cool seeing Ward get dropped by a journeymen, because I long suspected him of being overrated. Different topic though

Clearly a superior boxer... but when your as good as he is, people have to have SOME ammo at you. It's human nature, to try and bring down the man at the very top... Sad, also, when you think about it.

    :rofl :patsch

And NOW people are hating on Floyd for saying things to PROMOTE the fight. Please, tell me how many times a fighter says something along the lines of "Ima whoop his ass" and then go out and have a chess match?

A clutching at straws argument, if there ever was one.
