So we all know Floyd will be fighting again in 2014 and it will probably be in May. For me, there isn't many boxers who would give Mayweather a good fight and push him. Amir Khan has been making a lot of noise about facing Mayweather but does he really deserve it? I mean, Khan has speed but he simply doesn't have the boxing brain and the chin to beat Mayweather. To beat Floyd, you have to be smart and be able to take a punch which Khan just doesn't have at the moment. A lot of people have been saying Floyd doesn't have the knockout power anymore but if Mayweather stepped in the ring with Khan and Khan goes in reckless then Mayweather would ko Khan and there's no doubt in my mind about that.

So who else is can face Floyd Mayweather? A 38 year old Sergio Martinez? I think a younger but smart Danny Garcia deserves a shot. We all saw what he did to Matthysse after everybody was saying Matthysse would ko Garcia. He has speed, power, can take a punch and a deadly left hook. I think Garcia is a underrated fighter and could easily make the jump to 147 to face Floyd. I'm not saying Garcia would win but it would definitely be a close fight that could go either way. Mayweather would be in trouble if Garcia caught him with a sharp left hook and Floyd would find it hard to hurt Garcia.

Instead of just posting 'no' can you at least give a explanation?

So now the hype begins?i agree that floyd should fight Garcia if he stays at WW.as far the match goes, easy UD for floyd.it wouldn't be a close fight and only way garcia could win is by ko/tko and i don't see that happening,of course there is always a chance

Honestly think that floyd is too good for everybody right now between 140-154.

If we want to see even match, what could go either way floyd have to fight in MW.even than the only question is.can floyd handle the size and power of MW.because definetly martinez,GGG don't win only because of their skill level.

We need a timemachine now for floyd if we want interesting matchups for floyd.SRL,SRR,Hearns,Duran,Benitez etc.. Where skills would play major part.Hearns would be probaly toughest stylistic matchup for floyd.Hearns could be too big and i don't think floyd can KO hearns.SRL,SRR,Duran and benitez floyd definetly can match skill vs skill and would be almost 50/50 matchups.Hearns would be favorite in my books against floyd.styles makes fights!

Floyd fights Garcia and Khan next year i think, after that don't have a clue.but atleast now honestly think there is no interesting fights for floyd.Would help Garcia if he fights one more time before cinco de mayweather.but i don't know how could be that opponent.

Garcia should face Bum Berto or Ortiz at 147 first.

I'd rather Danny fight Peterson, to unify the titles and then claim lineage at 140, it would give him a better bargaining position for a future fight with Floyd

he has the IBF belt, despite losing to Lucas, it would give him more leverage in negotiations for sure

I would like to see Danny get his well deserved payday, but not yet

Danny Garcia earned it, the hard way.. so I wouldn't be sad if it happened.

He's more deserving of such a fight than guys like Guerrero and Canelo, imho.

I'd personally rather see him fight the winner of Bradley-Marquez.

for it to be even credible for Floyd....you know the shyt he gets for facing Hatton because Hatton looked better at 140 even though he won a belt at 147?

He faces Garcia without a fight at 147 and he would get lynched

the fight just would not be credible if he does not beat anyone noteworthy at 147 and he has to look good doing so or Floyd will not get credit for that fight.....they barely want to give the man credit for Hatton

and then the excuse would be he fights smaller men or his best weight is 140 and expect Floyd to drop to 140
