I would say that , in this video, he is NOT taking minimum risk. The man is not afraid to stand in there if he has to, but why? To entertain us? no! For whatever reason, 0 loss, pretty face, preservation...the guy has the best defense in the game and the key to defense is to not get hit. especially when it's a powerful dude that's bigger than you on the other end of the punch. the minimum risk does not "gaurantee the win", it's the skill behind it.

Has anyone ever thought he fights his low risk style to save his hands and his punch resistance for when he REALLY needs it? Everyone knows he has frail hands.:huh

dude, if lovemore n'dou tagged floyd like that, vernon forrest and winky would have taxed that ass harder than the IRS.

but i know that is not the point of the thread, pbf is more versatile than we give him credit for, he is definitely great.

    Good video.

The most impressive part, to me, though, was N'dou's guts/heart.

That video should have shown his fight with Chavez. Mayweather hit him with about 20 short uppercuts while laying on the ropes.

I disagree .. floyd fight the way he does based on his style. depending on the other fighter style, will determine if floyd lets his hands go. fighter with tight punches with good pop he will less likely let his hands go .. fighter with wide punches he more like to trade shots because he can see those shots coming, and he can time them while standing in the pocket.

Loved the way May went for it against either Phillip NDou or Chop Chop Corley. Nobody denies his skills specially the way he adjusts and times em with leverage stepping back. Now, Chop Chop rocked him and Phillip NDou was so tall and slender that Floyd found a good way to finish that one, radar him from down low and whip him repeatedly with that right hand, cobra style. I hope May comes to fight with Shane, I really do, bring on that whip too.

Listen, Floyd was going toe to toe with DeMarcus who was making those 5% of the fight reward very hard for Mayweather. Mayweather doesn't brawl effectively because he presents his side and is toop str8 up to land any sort of big powerpunches such as the ones Chop Chop Corley caught him with from low positions in round 4 - Floyd scores big scoring rights like the ones commentators called like jabs. Eventually when he came back to box and throw volumes of str8 rights and left hooks inside and out, Corley got wasted and dropped to one knee twice... If Floyd comes like that against Shane, he's going to finf himself in dreamland sooner or later.

He not going to brawl with shane, just like he didn't brawl with Juda who hands are faster than both shan's and floyd's handspeed. Shane is not the type of fighter you going to beat using your physical attributes anyone that has tried has been KOed. fighter that have beaten shane have out thought him mentally.

Gawd these highlights suck. Mayweather is boxing and moving for the first 40 seconds. That's all the time I have.

But yes, he can go into the trenches like a mother****er. I've personally been saying it all along. For years and years. He would stop Pacquiao, IMV. Manny would force Floyd to turn into a "dragon" as Richardson puts it.
