Pryor would smash Mayweather up and stop him around the 11th round IMO. He is an absolute nightmare for Mayweather, and there is no way Floyd even stuns Pryor, who had an iron-chin and an unbreakable will. Incidentally, that Chacon avatar is ace :good This fight comes up all the time!
Yes, i too think Mayweather has a great chance. Certainly a hell of a lot more than against Duran at 140. Pryor's obvious technical looseness and sloppiness will certainly give Floyd his chances. Pryor's enormous energy and unpredictability will make it close. Bloody good stouch this one.
Pryor without the Coke get's beaten in a wide UD. With Coke however poses a different threat. He would be absolutely relentless in his attack and wouldn't take his foot off the pedal for one second. But, I still see Floyd taking SD with his counter puncher early in the fight persuading the judges while Pryor begins to take affect late but too late. Floyd was just a lot more skilled than Pryor.
Thanks for being sensible ... Again, Leonard had nothing to do with Duran's footspeed or feinting in Montreal ... Leonard didn't choose to have Duran slip and duck flurries, Leonard didn't choose to be sent to the ropes by a Duran right hand and neither did Leonard choose to have Duran be in inspired, beat a bigger ATG form. Since when was it bad strategy for a younger, heavier, faster and harder hitting fighter to try to overwhelm the smaller, older, slower, lighter hitting fighter?
Cokehead pryor wins, non-cokehead pryor loses. Pryor need the help of cocaine to win his biggest fights. Also, pryor never beat any great boxer who was in his prime. cervantes was old and past his prime and arguello was a slowed down version of what he was in his prime. Just look at the kevin rooney fight and you'll see how big a difference in handspeed 5 pounds made. He was slow, and yet panama lewis knew that he had to make that magic potion for pryor to take.
Pryor by one-sided UD. Floyd is technically superior, but the Hawk's relentless aggression won't let him show it. Mayweather will have immense trouble keeping Aaron off him.
I have recently rewatched some Pryor fights and came away extremely impressed ... I forgot just how fast he was ... he may very well have been too much for Floyd ..
It takes one to know one. How you can have your head so far up pryors but is beyond me. Pryor was just a talented crackhead who was completely strung out by the time his short career was over. As a matter of fact there was a full story on it in sports illustrated. I have no respect for any fighter who has to resort to those means to win and if my comments upset you then too bad.
