    I was actually watching Corrales/Castillo I the other day and Freitas got mentioned. I had forgotten all about him (loved the late 90's-mid 00's era) and so this got me thinking, as it should have happened back then.

    Alright so I just spun off a duplicate of the Mayweather vs. Casamayor thread w/ poll and edited the options so they read Freitas' name instead. This resulted in Brixton losing authorship credit, though. I can fix it for you in a bit when I get home on my computer (on my phone now) - I'll just have to spin off everything from your post on (as the OP) into a separate duplicate thread and delete this one.

    Mayweather has the edge in everything except power, and I don't think Freitas would land consistently or land that perfect shot (like against Barrios) to make a difference.

    Mayweather would respect Freitas and box cautiously like did against Corrales, on the backfoot and moving laterally, using his speed and angles. Mayweather landed perfectly timed shots for those knockdowns. I don't think he'll score 5 knockdowns this time, but I'll say he scores a couple, and wins 119-107.

    I think Popó was more dangerous for PBF than Chico was at that juncture at SFW. (even though he would lose to Chico a few years later h2h @ LW)
