Floyd was more relaxed tonight and fought with more of an entertaining style. Overall the fight was very good.

While watching the fight I thought Andre Berto was winning early on. Berto was blocking most of Floyd’s punches, had a consistent jab and he even landed a few combos on Floyd. Berto really had control of the action on the inside.

Floyd’s natural gifts are more apparent vs Andre Berto, Floyd was able to win a decision with an aesthetically pleasing performance. As a result Floyd landed the better more quality punches, especially in the 12th round probably Floyd’s best round of the fight.

Despite all this, the punch stats seemed ridiculously in favor of Floyd, like to the point of absurdity. It seemed that while most of Berto’s punches weren’t particularly effective or hard, that the actual number of the physical punches landed on Floyd were about even to the number of physical punches landed on Berto.

While watching the fight, I thought Berto was doing well in rounds 2 and 3, and had some flashy combos when he cornered Floyd throughout the first half of the fight. Floyd meanwhile didn’t really have any flashy combos like that.

I did like that unlike Pacquiao, Berto did a better job of cutting off the ring and basically staying in punching position as Floyd was moving. Berto’s quick jab was landing. Berto’s best chance for a big punch probably was if he could force Floyd to move to his right and time it with a left hook.

That was given away by the cameraman when in between rounds caught a glimse of Team Berto saying to Berto to throw the left hook.

While Berto did give a good performance, I don’t think he really has that much left, I think he just gave this fight all he had. While FMJ has obvious physical advantages to Berto, in the ring it felt like Berto really took it to Floyd and imposed his will throughout the fight.

, it's far more embarrassing to try to use a word that is too big for you like hence to sound semi-intelligent, than a grammatical error that was fixed within seconds later.

I've watched a few amateur fights. And random picks, though I did watch the the Olympic Finals where he lost. Just a few. Cuz I was curious to see how he fought when he was really young.

And then 2000's because well... fights get really hard to watch once you go before 2000's. Like the quality is horrible. This sounds bad, but I have a hard time watching fights (and anything) if they aren't HD. Just because I've grown up with it, and things get too pixelated far back in these fighters' early careers. It's hard to watch.
