Most of the criticism is coming from first and second year fans who have only seen the Clottey fight. That seems to be the trend anyways.

Anyone who cannot see that Margarito favored his backfoot in that fight is blind or just acting a fool. When a boxer cannot put all his weight on the backfoot he cannot back up effectively. He ends up on the front foot more often and open to counters.

Against Cintron it was pretty ordinary for Margarito to shift all his weight onto the backfoot to take two steps back. He did this almost whenever Cintron attacked. This allowed him to pick off more punches. Of course in the rematch Margarito took more chances because he had seen what Cintron had to offer already in power and he felt no fear of it.

Again....do you think you post anything relevent? You act like you saying what he can or cannot do are FACTS when it's just your opinion. You say this and that, but that's all you say. Then you mention Mayweather's speed or something. I mean, everytime I ask, you say the same thing "Margarito needs to set his punches...". What is Floyd gonna do to keep Margarito from planting? And it's not like you need to ton of time to plant your feet anyway ass. Floyd doesn't jab that much anymore. He's picking his punshes more now. You say Floyd would do all this stuff, but it's based on a fighter who you see as doing nothing wrong. A combinations of all the best values of Mayweather into this super fighter. ****in fanboys....:patsch

Unless you think floyd is an amateur ,, the man has never faded . the reason he can do what he does is because of his conditioning , which had to be one the best in the bussines..
and he's also been strong enough to handel guys that out weigh him by 15 pounds .. it reported that floyd spars 10 15 min round rotating 3 sparring partner per round .. there no way Margartio strength ,and aerobic out put is more then 3 fighter combined ..

Floyd has made a killing fighting fighter that think like you do , they think they are going to over power him once get him in the ring , but then you can see the confusion in there face when they realize he is stronger and faster then they thought , chico , zab , oscar , hatton, castillio , baldi .. all made the same mistake thinking they could over power floyd and wear him down only to be gasping for air themselves in the later rounds.

Margarito is no stronger then any of those fighters , at there own weight and floyd had no issue with them..

Floyd is fast enough to beat margarito to the punch mid range and use his deffence as a way not to take any damage , and still strong enough to tie margarito up on the inside if thing get to dicey .. then stick and move all night if he has too . not a easy fight for floyd but he still gets the UD .

    2. I think Floyd pretty much ducked Margo

    3. I still think Floyd would have won if the fight came off.

    4. I started to post when Floyd fought Oscar? Your point is?

He obviously doesn't have a life outside ESB so it's understandable he thinks your life began on that date.

Conveniently, Lance makes no mention of Hatton's abysmal 17% rate of success, connecting only 63 times; no mention neither of DLH landing only 122 times (21%) nor of Baldomir's embarrassing 12% land to throw ratio, landing only 79 punches, 6.5 punches per round on average.

Hitting while not being hit or rarely, not wasting punches... isn't that what the superior boxers do?

Interestingly, Hatton's, DLH's and Baldomir's typical stats dropped in almost every aspect against Mayweather. Why?

And why would it be any different for Margarito?

Lance, apply your own standards on yourself and answer the questions: what would Margarito do to reverse the trends? I'm waiting,..

Mayweather by UD, Margarita would get hit by everything. I could see Mayweather putting together combos to the body and chin. Margarita has no defense and is to slow for Mayweather :yep :bbb
